    Talking about this today. I too mentioned the line "I am immune to the light". This was off the back of a discussion about Snoke being like Dracula and the Star Killer being a metaphor for his vulnerability to light (literally or figuratively) - Star Killer destroys sun/light.

    There is a lot more about "eyes" in regard to the Maz Kanata stuff and the poster campaign.
    The question would be, why is he blind? Why would that be written into the story?

    Edit: Why does he wear his mask all the time? Vader needed his. Kylo 'doesn't'. Looks a bit silly walking around with the other bad guys with his mask on...kind of. Maybe he is covering his blindness? He does 'stumble' somewhat through the woods in that trailer shot too!! Maybe!

    I saw a recent YouTube video where the channel host discussed the possible plot of Kylo Ren being wounded or disfigured. That may occur, but I doubt he'd be blinded.
    The YouTube host also suggested Ren may be converted into a "Darth Vader" type cyborg or more machine than man. Filled with rage & hate for Finn, Rey, Han Solo, and Luke.
