    Because it would be similar to Galen Marek and Vader
    keeping clones with memories
    so if he tried to clone Plageuis after he killed his master to control him and continue to learn the technique, maybe he was frozen in carbonate and sent away from the Galaxy and landed on Dantooine .

    I'd forgotten that particular spoiler, that would be an interesting direction. Although at that point, you could probably take Dantooine out of the equation and still be okay.

    That is true but Dantooine would meld with the fact that it's allegedly in canon that "the makers" or something like that were on the planet so it would only help Snoke's case in being ALL powerful .

    Why Dantooine?

    Early versions of TFA had the First Order converting Dantooine into their superweapon and retrofitting the abandoned Rebel base for their own purposes.
