Looks like everyone is hopping on the leak bandwagon and making up new rumors that deviate from other rumors lol

Any truth in this leak?

 

The loser-chan websites are filled with literally the worst people on the internet. It's a den of racists, misogynists, LGBT haters, and terrorists. This is at least the fourth in a line of idiocy from that where their supposed story keeps changing. I'm not going to post the three previous posts that this latest just added and changed upon. Nothing should be rushed to be posted out of there. It's not responsible and that's why I personally sit on a lot of things that I haven't shared to date because of the potential BS factor.

 

There is nothing in that report that conflicts with what I have been told. I'm not verifying but nothing that contradicts. Its more accurate than Kyle's scoop.

If this is the case, then Han and Chewie have already encountered Daisy, and they are getting ready to leave Tattooine.. this would not, I think, be the reason she is on Tattooine... And if the concept art is correct, the Falcon is there as well, so unless he was on the Star Destroyer and comes down to the planet in the Falcon....

Also, didn't they establish it wasn't Tattooine?

We know that already except for the name.

This is, in my opinion, a speculation made into something more.

It's lousy, but... Haven't we had a confirmation that Lupita is playing Leia's political rival? Her being also a Darth Vader impersonator could prove to be a nice twist.
The name is what makes me think that it might be real. It sounds like something Lucas would come up with. It's a basic feminization of the latin word Mal (evil).

Works with other leaks and rumours, passable.

That's a waste, but it's possible. Oscar and Domhnall have many upcoming movies, Disney would've kept them on a shorter leash if they were crucial to the story. Also - as harsh as it sounds - you don't hire an ageing actor with a trilogy in mind.

That's the most interesting thing about this "leak". Maybe it's coming from someone close to the production but not necessarily knowing the plot details?

 

Well the Cantina was actually a bidding house (MakingStarWars) and Lupita was there as an authority figure telling Han he has 25 bounties on his head (king 3000).
King also said Simon Pegg cameos in the bidding house assaulting Daisy but Chewbacca rips his arm off.
And Fawn & Kira are both production names, not actually used in the movie.

 

Right... but either way, it's not like this happened, and Daisy flees to Tattooine for a year or more, and then the movie happens... she is already there when it happens...

Do you have this confirmed? If yes, the way I see it it's unlikely that a random person would come up with two names used during production out of nothing. I mean, I'm following the news and heard about Kira, but never about Fawn. Some leaks called Darth Maul "Panaka" in 1998, it could simply be misplaced.

 

They didn't "come up with" those names... they have both been known production names.

 

I think that KrisM guy who had seen the Arndt script said it was from there but don't hold me to it. Viral probably knows, he will be on in a few hours I'm sure.

Also, Viral and mods: maybe time to start an uber Rumor Mill thread, stickied so as to avoid the nonstop thread creation for every single new bit of speculation. Then the rules for rumors can be laid out in the first post i.e. be nice, don't troll, substantiate wherever possible, don't name sources or jeopardize jobs etc.
