The Chewbacca with a robotic arm thing came from the leaked concept art. It has been suggested by quite a few people with connections it was a concept that didn't make the grade...

My guess is the yellow paint was scrapped for either red or white.

Red for obvious reasons and white could be a 'war paint' color.

 

Sounds like they used variations of the stripe motif - in yellow and red - across the helmet concepts for various characters, in this description from MSW, I can see how the "sunbeam" design would create fairly similar stripes down the sides of the pilot's helmet...

 

These are all shaping out how I hoped they would. For the record, I'm 99% sure the one on the far left is Captain Phasma. I've just got a very strong gut feeling on that, and I'm certain it isn't Kylo Ren.

 

Even with the helmet pic leak?

 

I personally think it aligns more with the stormtrooper concept art, and the lighter costume doesn't look like what I saw in the teaser. I could very well be wrong, but that's what I'm going with for the time being.

 

That's what I thought until the image of the black & yellow helmet came out. It's exactly the same as the figure on the far left besides the figure not yet being painted.

 

And then there's this, don't forget - that ain't no Stormtrooper...

 

Ah. I hadn't considered that the figure wasn't painted yet. I assumed it was just a low quality shot. I'll look over it more. I'm starting to think you're correct on this. Thanks for helping me out!

 

Haha. Yeah, the fact that I was saying "don't forget about this..." kinda suggests that I already know that it is "old news" (as in a whole couple of hours old) but was posting it for the benefit of someone who may have not seen it, or was neglecting to consider it at this juncture.

What do we all think of what Finn is wearing then?
What colours do you reckon that will end up being - For some reason I can't help thinking that jacket will be the same tan colour as the old Hoth Rebel Soldier figure. Or do you think he will be all Solo'd up with the classic black jacket and white shirt combo?
Maybe he borrows some of Solo's clothes like Lando does...

 

I think Finn is the Kanan like cowboy Jedi that dresses similar to Solo

 

You know, I'm starting to wonder if that is Chewie. Why would he show up in this line up and not Poe? All the rest are new characters... this might be a new wookie guys...

 

am i the only one who thinks that rey's costume looks very jedi-ish?

naahhh, i think it really is chewie, i mean, he´s the only wookie with a bag like that…

it also looks like boyega will be the blaster guy by the position of his hand

 

Yea kinda wierd that there is every other character from the trailer except the wookie in place of Poe.

No doubt she will be a jedi.

 

As I think someone pointed out earlier, Chewbacca is clearly just the existing Black Series Chewie with the new resculpted bits being the unpainted parts in the pic. It was probably an easier one for them to knock out for this line for that reason, seeing as how he is basically naked all the time...
