I want a vote of no confidence in Laura Dern playing a villainous character. She's so likeable.

Everything depends on Snoke, in my opinion..

Depending on intellectual power by which they did (or didn't) made Snoke this entire trilogy will be judged at least by me.

Since it is not Original trilogy, but the continuation, this continuation needs powerfull roots, basis and justiffication for continuation, which is Snoke.

Without Snoke First Order will be leaderless and misguided group of old Imperial hawks.

Without Snoke Ben/Kylo will not turn to the Dark side and murder Jedi and his own father (Han Solo).

Without Snoke Luke's New Jedi Oder will be continuation of old Jedi Order, maintaining same "Peace and Justice" for the next 1000 years.

Snoke is origin , cause, and reason of sequel trilogy existance.

We will go to cinema many times whoever Snoke is, there is no question about that, there is no question about massive financial success of entire ST.

But the final judgement about the value of Sequel trilogy within greater Star Wars universe, will came after trilogy ends, and this will depend on one single name-
    Snoke.

The funny thing is that she likes to play unlikeable characters.

    Confident:-
    1. that i will love it. it's Star Wars... duh!
    2. that i will pre-order i-max tickets for multiple nights
    3. that Luke will light the green light saber, and that i will probably soil myself in the theater.
    4. that it will look and sound utterly stunning.
    5. that it will leave me wanting more.

    Less Confident:-
    1. OT Characters. with one killed off, a lot of pressure from us fans on Luke's story in this trilogy, and obviously Carrie Fisher passed away recently... i cannot deny that i am worried. A good film is a good film, but i hope against hope that we don't have a large percentage of hard core fans un-happy with the conclusion of their stories.
    2. Finn. i dunno, but watching the trailer.. it seems as though he may have become disconnected from the leads of the trilogy. It's one trailer, and we're only 1 film down of 3.. so maybe i'm worrying about nothing. Han Solo wasn't force sensitive and managed to be one of the stars of the show... but it won't be easy filling that kind of role, where the audience are going 'oooh' and 'ahhhh' at other characters using eye catching force powers and twirling light sabers. He is awsome in TFA and i'd be happy with more of that even if he isn't FS.. but i am definitely not confident about how his character will progress, and how big a part he has in the main story arc.

    Confident that:
    • the movie will be well-made
    • John Williams will continue to wow us
    • Kylo Ren will be even cooler
    • Luke will do something iconic
    • Finn will still be a great character
    • Rey will experience a real challenge
    • the film will have beautiful cinematography and design
    • the film will end leaving us eager for Ep. IX to finish things off
    • we'll get great, memorable performances from Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill
    Less confident due to:
    • the lack of a meeting between Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewie
    • the lack of Lando
    • the rumored direction of Snoke
    • the possibility of too many similarities to TESB (I know, I know, dead horse)
    No confidence in:
    • trailer accuracy. After TFA and, to a much larger extent, Rogue One, I'm not going to base my expectations on what we see in trailers. I'm going to wait for the final film and not anticipate certain moments that might not be there.

    tell that to Kanjiklub!

    moving on...

i am overall very optimistic about this movie, in particular getting to see Luke again. a couple things i am lacking confidence in is in how they handle Snoke and the Force moving forwards. they will have to tread very carefully if they don't want to screw up the excellent saga they've built so far; stray but a little, and insert the rest of this LotR reference here.
