If they die in this ST they should receive Royal burials on Naboo. Both are Royalty there. Alderan is gone for Leia.

They're not. On Naboo, queens (and probably kings) are elected and have terms of office, like US presidents. This means that the royal title is not heritable, thus their only connection to Naboo is their biological mother, which they've never met.

I think they should be shot into the heart of a star should they both meet their demise. It would be fitting.

Interesting but I don't think they should have Royal funerals on Naboo.

Yeah, I can see that. Leia can't be buried on Alderaan, obviously. Luke probably wouldn't want to be buried on Tattoine, because it's a terrible place (nice way to put it). Yeah I could see it. Probably wont be on screen, but in comics or something.

not that i think either of them will die--though Leia may have to since Carrie Fisher passed away--but since Han is literally now a star, that's the one they should pick.

The First Order likes how you think.

But in all seriousness, chances are that both of them (or at least Luke, since he's more powerful) will become "one with the force" and just disappear like Obi-Wan did. Leia's body might stay intact, in which case Naboo seems appropriate.

It may happen on the planet they both perish on although Naboo would be a good location considering mom was buried there.

I don't want Luke to die at all in this trilogy. We've lost Harrison and now Carrie far too soon into these new films and won't ever be seeing the trio reunited onscreen. To ease the sting, I'd prefer if they let Luke soak up TLJ - IX and then mention in the 4th trilogy that he's passed on. I'd hate if by the start of IX everyone has blown up.

Leia was considered royalty in both her Naboo blood & Alderaanian family upbringing by Lady Clarice Cindian in the Bloodline novel.

I hope at least Luke will disappear as Obi Wan and Yoda, however my vote for...Yavin IV.
    Second, Endor.

Luke and Leia could be buried on Naboo if they chose to, but not because of reasons that they "belonged" to Naboo as members of Naboo "royalty".

Their mother, Padmé Naberrie-Amidala-Skywalker was not a true blood royal when she was Queen if Naboo, she was an elected political leader who replaced King Veruna, who had also been an elected leader. True blood royals are not elected in a real monarchy. they are born into it.

When The Phantom Menace was created, George Lucas wanted Naboo to look old, traditional and have an elegant and regal "Venice In Space" style to it with a Queen. But as Americans have a dislike (1776!) or unfamiliarity of monarchies, George decided to have an "elected Queen" instead, with terms of office lasting four years, just like a US President has.

The Naboo titles of "King" and "Queen" in the Prequel Trilogy era were titles borrowed from ancient feudel era Naboo history and used for tradition and ceremonial purposes. Naboo used to have several rival true blood monarchies and country states in its early history before they all merged and switched to a democratically elected global leadership which carried on using "King" or "Queen" as ceremonial titles only. Naboo's elected "King" or "Queen" were allowed to lead Naboo for a maximum of 8 years (2x four year terms).

Leia was titled "Princess Leia" because she was adopted into the Royal House of Alderaan, her princess title was not of Naboo origin, she was an adopted Princess of Alderaan. Leia coulfd not inherit a royal title from Padmé, as Padmé was not "Queen" or a true blood Queen of Naboo at the time of Leia's birth.

Luke would not be a prince as he grew up with his step uncle and step aunt on Tatooine. Luke was born at a time when his mother Padmé was not "Queen" of Naboo and she was not of true Naboo royal blood anyway.

Kings live in castles don't they? Would that equate to their dad being a king? Perhaps they could have official royal funerals on Mustafar? (dark)

(This post is an attempt at humour and not serious at all)

What they should have had, was to have a reunion.
