SPECULATION Mace Windu and his role in ep 7 and beyond

there is no story mode in battlfront, in the videogame the places and the characters are canon, but not the events and battles, in fact the emperor fighting luke on the moon of endor never happened in the movies, but it happen on the game. Only the battle of jakku will be canon, and maybe the tutorial of the game, but the rest is not, so we still don't know if Boba Fett is alive or not, we only know that his armour is out of the sarlacc from Aftermath

 

And a Lucasfilm story group guy confirmed he was alive in a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything).

 

Battlefront is a game with multiple scenarios that can't be considered canon. This game also features Palpatine on Endor so can this be considered canon as well? You can also have green saber Jedi Luke fight Vader on Hoth and Leia can even face Vader.

None of this is canon so unless Boba Fett appears in a movie or in a new Disney property book, his still chillin in the Sarlacc's belly.

My friend, if you are a longtime SW game fan, you should know by now that mostly every single game that comes out is said to be canon just to boost sales but they always end up being non-canon. George Lucas himself had said the Force Unleashed was canon and you can see where that ended. Even awful games like Masters of Teras Kasi and Star Wars Demolition were also considered canon at one time and this same strategy is always used to get fans to buy the games.

 

I'm not saying the game is cannon. A Lucasfilm story group person has said since the EU reboot that Boba Fett escaped the sarlacc.
Anyway this is getting off topic.

 

To end this long debate I will tell you that you shouldn't take anything from any spoken source even if it's from Lucasfilm or Disney at face value unless you see it in movies. Everything from books to games, comics and cartoons can be easily tossed to the garbage as we have already seen with the EU.

 

That actually boosts my Force Ghost haunting theory...

Maybe it is not Obi's ghost afterall, but Yaddle's. He's tricking Luke into believing he has "special" powers, but in reality, unlike Jake Lloyd that had Jedi powers before the filming of The Phantom Menace, Luke starts showing Jedi abilities not until R2D2 comes into the picture...

Maybe that is something that comes into play in The Force Awakens...

Luke is still making objects move and everything right until he sends R2 away (what is believed to be happening from what we saw in the trailers)... then, he just becomes like you and me... a regular farmer with no power whatsoever, and moreover, with no astromech droid to help him navigate his X-Wing... so he goes into exile and heavy drinking in pubs on Skellig Island, right until Rey brings back R2D2 to him, still haunted by Yaddle's ghost.

Maybe that's what Maz Kanata discovers on Tadokana.... that R2 is haunted.

But the serious question we should ask ourselves is: can a droid be haunted by ONE or SEVERAL ghosts at the same time?
Is there room enough for Yaddle, Obi Wan, Mace and Yoda's ghosts under the dome?

 

The Ghostbusters would earn a bunch of credits if they were called in to catch poor possesed R2.

 

He's dead and gone as far as I'm concerned.

 

So there we are!

Don't count him out as being an ancient evil yet as he can eaisliy be a new incarnation of Gozer! Gozer the Destructor, Volguus Zildrohar the Traveler has come!

As if Vader and Sidious would be enough for Mace.Mace is alive.He is on a super-secret mission.Mace is the man.I imagine him being at Tatooine at one point for chill out with Obi-Wan.

I’d be cool with Mace returning as a Force Ghost but there is no way he is alive.
