This was lifted off a poster on force net. This guy has been making that plot line for weeks, I've just unblocked the site, the first post was May the 1st.

    - Kylo has the helmet, talks to it
Well in this case I don't think Kylo is related to anyone and I don't think he is obsessed with Vader either, I don't think he is the one who has the mask at all.
    - Rey doesn't know Han and vice versa
I see your point about the ruse but part of the speculation in the synopsis was that Rey finds out about her past in the vision, right? Not sure If I remember correctly.
    - the flashback
I think it's a foreign concept to star wars and I don't think they will start using them now, Anakin's vision was short and blurry not a way of clarifying events of the past. Also is Maz supposed to share the vision with the others? While possible I think it's something very different from how we have seen visions work so far.

DarthLightlyBruise has been taking all of the shot lists that have been posted piecemeal by MSW and compiled them into a logical order, as had I. The only difference as DarthLightlyBruise points out in the thread over at Force.net is that he is only including information from MSW because he believes it is the most credible source (which is pretty much legit). The reason I created spoilerboard was to include other information that has been reported on sites other than MSW as well as information that is tied to official images.

So everyone is lifting information from MSW and then trying to make sense of it. This is why DarthLightlyBruise's synopsis feels incomplete to me and it seems more fun to at least consider the other leaks and rate them with confidence on how likely they might be.

It isn't a competition - it is just an investigation to get to the bottom of the full plot.

Okay, am fine with that, I was just pointing out that this guy has been working on this for weeks, I was just putting out there because of the time and consideration he put into it, he deserves some credit.

And there isn't a shred of evidence there isn't more of him in the film other than the end.

Just because he was there for 5 months does not mean he shot anything at all in those five months other than the stuff in Ireland

Thanks, p03. I actually created and posted the timeline in March. But each time I post an update, TFN deletes the previous post, as otherwise the thread gets cluttered. So May 1st was just the latest update. Also, my inspiration for breaking the chronology into a more readable narrative didn't come from the spoilerboard (which I didn't know about at all - very cool project!) It came from a random request from a user on a Tolkien messageboard, thehalloffire.net. Such is the way of things. :)

If anyone here is interested in the longer chronology, and the synopsis posted on MSW today, it's here: http://boards.theforce.net/threads/current-film-rumors-absolutely-no-discussion.50028227/

As for my sources, thehiredgun is right, and I thank him for his kind words. I have absolutely nothing against creating narratives that draw from a broader array of sources. But as a former intel analyst, I've watched a number of rumor sources over the past year, and simply determined that MSW's rumors (the latest batch that flow from call sheets, shooting shedules and logs, and possibly a production schedule) are the most reliable, due to a number of them being validated by official sources. But please, feel free to fill the bones of this narrative in with as much color as you like! :)

    Best,
    DLB

He could have shot a bunch of things that have since been moved out to later episodes. COULD is a massively powerful word in the world of speculation. I certainly hope that's not the case. And what of the rumored pic of Luke and Han and kylo? That's not in the synopsis. I think it's a pretty good run down of how SOME of what we've heard COULD be strung together. It's not official anything in my book. Pure speculation. Fun, but one mans opinion.

Rock on DLB and kudos for bringing the plot speculation together into a bigger discussion. It will be awesome to see how things evolve as new information comes in.

Obviously, I'm a big fan of what you've been doing and I'm looking forward to helping in any way to solve the puzzle - even if it is from a different angle.

It's based on a filming outline with MSW speculation and now more interpretation (game-of-telephone) thrown in. It's not going to have important things like blood relations and character motivations spelled out on them. Some scenes will be over super quick and some will go for minutes. Some things will be cut out of the movie in the editing process. It was also deliberately written in code with word substitutions for character and place names so as not to be too revelatory.

    Anyway, Lawrence Kasdan himself said

    So, prepare yourselves. (greedo)

In Canon Sheeves is mentoring Anakin while Dooku is is apprentice both in AOTC and ROTS.
In Canon Dooku is utilizing Ventriss as an asset, training Grevious in sabre techniques in TCW and ROTS.
In Canon Sheeves finds Darth Maul, kills his brother refuses to kill Maul and prepares to use him while Dooku is his apprentice TCW.
In Canon Vader is training Inquisitors to find and use or kill force sensitives at the bidding of the Emperor.
In Canon Vader suggests that Luke could be turned to the dark side and become an ally both ESB & ROTJ.

Unless like the drafts of ANH Han Solo fills that role. Which seems to be very much the direction of the rumors.

The movie sounds pretty sweet to me! After hearing it all compiled(by all I mean all we have heard thus far) it seems to fit together pretty well.

Like others have said, I hope there will still be some surprises in store for us when it hits theaters, but if this outline is mostly correct I think I'll be happy with it. That ending will have us saying "I wish there's more" for sure.

I think the reason many of us are having a hard time with MSW's version of the movie is because it doesn't sound like a very good movie - too similar to the OT/heavily reliant on coincidence/nonsensical plot points/lost opportunities/etc.

What's impossible to know is whether it's because his information is wrong/incomplete, his interpretation is flawed, the actual story just isn't that good, or some combination of those possibilities.

If you look at the MSW rumors just since he got his hands on that shooting schedule (or whatever it is), they appear to be pretty accurate - at least based on how the info has lined up against the trailers and the few details revealed by the cast and crew. So I have to think he's at least partially correct.

But as more details become known, I personally keep searching for anything that will outright refute what MSW has said. Not because I have any issues with him personally, but because it will give me hope that story will be better than what he's laid out.

I don't like the "lightsaber relay race" aspect of the story. It's pretty dumb/contrived as far I can tell. Also the final battle comes across like some weak sauce compared to the final battle of Episode I or Episode IV as written and conveyed in these scene descriptions.

Act 2 and 3 appear to have been kept under wraps fairly well. This synopsis is mostly Act 1 which we already know about from the art that was leaked and subsequently put in the trailers. Still nothing on Uber or what his goal is or Luke's role in the story.

this plot sounds horrible. leia sends her best pilot after a lightsaber that holds no real importance other than being her father's and for a brief period her brother's. a jacket magically appears, then so does the falcon and then so does han and chewie, that is just stupid. i really hope j.j. came up with something better than this.

the lightsaber thing is what makes me believe most of this wrong. because i know lightsaber have to be strong, but does this look like a lightsaber that fell through the atmosphere of and crash landed on to a planet?

So the premise could potentially be Luke is missing and presumed to be a dead man before the movie starts. (The voice over in the teaser is from Return of the Jedi and present-day Hamill was the echo/reverb on the voiceover.)
