I am not sure if anyone else here frequents the Jedi Council forums, but here is an interesting tidbit posted by Jason in relation to the DarthLightlyBruise summary:

Is it normal for sources to ask for information to get released in bite sized chunks? I'm not familiar with how the Lucasfilm rumor mill works, but that bit seemed strange to me. I keep going back and forth with my opinion on MSW content. Sometimes their purpose seem genuine, but then there are examples from the millenniumfalcon investigative report that muddy the water.

he's just another supershadow but not as bad, so it seems more plausible.

It seems very plausible that JW and his sources would have laid out and agreed upon some ground rules for letting out information. Ward, in good faith, almost has to oblige his sources because, if not, no more spoilers.

And yes, it certainly sounds better to say, "we're spreading out the leaks to keep the fun and passion." I hope that's more true than not. But I imagine that it's also much easier to protect your sources if the info is broken up and released in pieces.

These rules apply to journalism - revealing spoilers for a Star Wars movie doesn't really qualify as journalism. It's closer to corporate espionage. I doubt any of your college Ethics Professors would find anything about revealing movie spoilers to be "ethical". I know mine wouldn't have.

He keeps his sources secret because he want to keep his sources - it's as simple as that.

While I don't think everything MSW has to share is true, I do find their podcast to be more enjoyable than reading their articles.

    Right.

Also runs the risk of having his sources be sued for breaking NDA.

I think the synopsis is fuzzy and pretty clueless. Feels like guessing. Anyone think it doesn't make sense for Han and Chewie to be flying a giant freighter around in space? So many of the WHYs of the story are completely lacking. The transitions between scenes and motivations are completely lost. There's almost zero dialogue or actual STORY in it. Feels like grasping and nothing really new.

Remember several months ago where there were reports from several unnamed sources that there was a sense of disappointment with the final script, that it was too derivative of the OT while also being too much of a modern "marvel style" action movie? Given this was a MSW post, but it popped up on Reddit and a few othe rplaces as well.

He's inserting his own speculation here. He never reported that originally. That sysnopsis is littered with other new speculations too (...they leave Hans body...). Then he says its factual on twitter. That's one of my issues with him. He talks a out of both sides of his mouth.

He says its a the compete and final shot summery, but by his own admission he doesnt know what happens to Poe on Jakku and doesnt know how he shows up out of knowhere on Yavin (Yavin is another speculation BTW). So obviously it's not complete. There are clearly other parts missing from this synopsis. As it stands now it's littered with plot holes. There's just no way the movie can end up being that bad.

Jason is prat but I honestly think the majority what he says will be in the movie. Like myself am hopeful there will be at least a few extra scenes not there in his notes. But I cannot see this stuff being created on whim. The film has been shot, they've been to the location, they are doing pick up shots. I think we are in denial if we think that if people saying nope, nope, nope all the time. Like I have said before, we have no script and no context, this is where Jason's mandate will fail in my opinion. Am writing this as constructive criticism whilst not trying to destroy someones virtue. I still believe there are still many things we don't know yet but I can see some structure at least now.

I think the key moments are still under cover because they don´t need many to film a key scene. JJ has all he needs to film a scene with a basic loyal group maybe 5-10 people. Actually i don´t care if Luke is in one scene or not. If he doesn´t fit in this movie but the next i´m fine with that. Everything is better then shoehorning characters into a movie, with out a purpose. Quality over quantity all the way. He said he is not looking forward to a lighsaber fight, its all about passing the torch and he is happy to be in this movie. Ok thats fine. we have seen enough old rockstars or action heroes missing the point to retire.

I believe this is what you were referring to.
    http://makingstarwars.net/2015/02/s...ll-snow-planet-name-pseudonyms-super-weapons/

Rumors regarding the "vibe" surrounding the film are the least quantifiable, but at the same time, by far the most interesting. At least i find them so.

I've only delved into the rumor mill/become aware of these "spoiler" sites in the past week or so but the friction between the head of this MSW site and here has been made abundantly clear. I in no way mean to come across as "holier-than-tho" regarding this, as my knowledge of the history of TFA spoiler culture is limited up to this point. However it seems counterintuitive that many posters dismiss another site with the exact same goals in mind, just as it seems petty of him to take passive aggressive shots at this site it the above-linked article. Alternatively, the posters that have made an attempt to culminate the rumors from all speculation sites, sort through and cross-check with what has been proven so far, and begin putting them all together seem to be working most effectively to accomplish the goal that these sites exist for in the first place.

Regarding these rumors, ultimately it is a film that will come and go, but it is fair to say that it is concerning reading about "a lack of imagination", though many i'm sure would say they saw this coming. Then again I suppose, they for now are just rumors. Hopefully the makers behind this highly anticipated film would be able to do better than that, especially after the well-documented lukewarm reception of the prequel trilogy.

I think JJ is leaking stuff to these spoiler sites to keep feeding us stuff he knows is not true; to keep us in the dark.

What a interesting twist would be if Jason from MSW is a guy hired by JJ to mislead us.

I said this before, I will say it again. My source told me that there is no misinformation campaign by Disney/LFL. They really don't have time for this. And why would they do that? It appears the fans are doing this themselves, with all the fake leakers around the web.
I am sure Jason is not a secret agent. ;)

It does make sense for them to play it safe, and come out with a solid film. In a sense they don't have enough to build off of yet, not from their own ideas. I predict Rian Johnson's Episode 8 will be much more interesting and inventive, a la Looper, while JJ was brought in to hold down the fort.
