Kinda surprised I have avoided any leaked spoilers for Chapter 23, and I am READY for it.

I do have one more late-season prediction as we go into the final two episodes of S3.
So far S3 has taken a bit of a beating from a vocal chunk of the audience, but I think that after these next two Chapters, most of those critics will be served a big ol' bowl of hush. A lot of things previously dismissed will figure into the story.

This was my first thought after hearing all the negative comments, Gotta see how the whole season pans out before ragging on an episode the way so many have been.

Especially considering 23 and 24 are both said to be 50 mins and 23 clocked in at 52.

    Hyped for the finale!!

I wonder if they're about to kill off Din in the finale of the new "Bo Katan show". Lot's of "evidence" on and off set.

Perhaps I'm succumbing to internet hype. I hope it doesn't happen though. I'm very open minded lol. :)

It is admittedly worrying that MSW seems to be hinting at something, but I don't believe it. It would be such a weird move that wouldn't serve much dramatic purpose (=it would close more story doors than it opens, and Din's arc would be super weird and pretty pointless). Worst case scenario, we'll get a Jon Snow-type cliffhanger.

If any rug was gonna be pulled, it'd be the other way around... with Katan being killed off in Din's place.

What I'm hanging out for is who is the spy in the Mando ranks?

Lots of intimations of The Armorer, but it would really undermine the whole Covert... unless she's betrayed them to see off Katan and be able to take her place as top-dog of Mandalore?

...is it Axe, his opening quote being that his crew could be 'bought'?

...or someone in the Mandalore survivors group, embittered at being left after The Purge and looking for the returning 'saviours' to be taught a lesson?

Damn - just realised /\ this discussion is going on in the thread for last weeks episode!

Nah. Too predictable. The armorer? Intriguing and a possibility. She may be a Maul loyalist. How did Gideon get his armor? Who forged it for him?

Hyperbole. Pedro was super-excited at the season premiere and all the media hype at that time. It was also made clear then that Bo-Katan was taking a bigger share of the story. All these doom-scrollers and pessimists are now saying that there is all this drama... My take is this: Pedro is taking a back seat late in this season's press hype to give his co-stars better exposure. He is a big deal in entertainment right now without hogging all the limelight and attention for The Mandalorian.

As far as all this Kennedy/Favreau/Pascal drama, so what? These are professionals working on a job, not 8 year olds playing marbles on a playground. They'll work it out. Yes, Pedro is blowing up and is in high demand. This show and it's fans lit that fuse. He doesn't want to leave that. He may very well want more out of the role and the show, and rightfully so, but I seriously doubt he would want out of this gig.

Granted, he has been right several times, but he has been off on a few also. This seems more like speculation based on rumor and innuendo.
On the surface, Brendan Wayne's comment is more concerning, but the timing was ambiguous and may have referred to Paz Visla.

Bingo! That's my take. No doubt the stunt double playing Paz Visla is a friend of Wayne's.

Rewatching The Convert, and I just had a crazy thought.

What if the Gideon we just saw on Mandalore is a clone? I have seen a few comments about him looking sickly, or shaky. He also didn't have his moustache, which obviously could mean nothing, or it could mean something.

In his Opera House speech, Pershing talks about working on cloning using two donors to combine their best traits into one host. Well, the Empire has Jango Fett's DNA, and with Gideon wanting to be a Mandalorian so badly...

See, that was my first thought, too. The Armorer has always been about restoring Mandalore. Why would she betray them, then? And if she was to team up with the Empire, it's unlikely she'd end up as "top dog", right?

    But consider a few things:

    1) The Armorer clearly views Mandalore as a creed, rather than a bloodline. Whatever issues she's had with Din, she never seemed to have thought of him as less for not being born Mandalorian, nor Grogu.

    2) The Armorer seemed strangely okay with Bo Katan removing her helmet. Why? The "She walks two paths" explanation seemed pretty out of character for her. But if The Armorer recognized Bo's value as a figurehead? That might change things.

    3) "Thank you for gathering the Mandalorians into one place. You were a talented people once, but your time has passed. However, as you can see, Mandalore will live on... in me." - Moff Gideon, S3 E7.

My theory is that The Armorer, in an almost Darwinian ideal, recognized Gideon and the Empire's strength. The little convert, the loose confederation of Axe's mercenaries... these things were a beautiful dream for Mandalore, but ultimately a fool's hope. Who could think that the few Mandalorians there (what seems to be less than 200) could retake an entire planet?

But the Empire could. And if Gideon is ready and willing to adopt Mandalorian ways, to restore the planet and its people to their former glory? Well, that's a tempting deal for The Armorer.

My guess: The Armorer betrayed the Mandalorians. Her actions may ultimately cost many Mandalorian lives, including possibly Bo Katan. But Bo told her something once, of a mythosaur below in the mines of Mandalore. The Armorer didn't believe her then, or at least she didn't want to believe her, because it meant perhaps she was in the wrong. So, she didn't react. But that was her mistake, because the mythosaur, the symbol of Mandalore, will be her undoing.

After watching ep.7 again, I just realized how much Greef Karga ( High Magistrate) respects Grogu for healing him and has given him the greatest gift ever, soon my little green friend will wield the Dark saber but for now he'll have this... :D

I think it's time for Gideon to be removed in order to clear the way for Thrawn (plot wise). My finale prediction.....Gideon dies.

I like and welcome your take on this....."Issue". There's always two sides to the story right? From what your saying....this may not even be a story at ALL. Trust me I'm an optimist as well just not closed minded and no I'm not saying you are. I love pretty much all of your posts and I don't take your POV lightly. I must state though that not all inside source information is not what we necessarily WAN'T to hear. Will the actual facts of these matters ever be made transparent? Maybe not. One thing for sure is that Din is not the center of season three. I remember the "inside source" rumors concerning this season and Bo Katan before the season started - stating how she was going to be more of an adversary to Din - now we see how those BK rumors panned out, saying that to say I can relate to your stance on leaks being huge boulders of salt. I'm not willing to rule out the "negative" leaks.

No, I do agree with what you are saying, and to an extent, I am dressing my speculation with what I hope to be the case. Truth be told, I don't think we will or should know the truth of what happens behind closed doors. I do think that much can be taken from what we see from the press junket before S3 opened. Pedro was extremely present and emotional about this season. I fully believe that he wants Katee, Emily, Brendan, and his other co-stars to get most of the attention. He wasn't as present on set for this season because of his other gigs. I do believe his love and dedication for this series, though. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him add Executive Producer to his credits next season, and deservedly so.

I don't necessarily think any of this has anything to do with the story in S3. Possibly one made the other possible, whether his schedule allowed the story or vice-versa is neither here nor there. This has been an outstanding season for Bo-Katan and for the Armorer, and in turn, a big deal for the super-talented Katee Sackoff and Emily Swallow.

I know this season has taken some hits, but I stand by my opinion that the series is evolving. The writing and production value are better, and this era and world are opening up and setting the table for spin-offs. This is no longer just a space western about a bounty hunter and the kid. It's becoming a bigger part of an even bigger story.
