    My last minute, long-shot, fever dream speculation...

    R5 sends a distress signal. Carson Teva and his Adelphi Squadron show up just in time to help the Mando Fleet fight off Gideon's Interceptors and Bombers. The Calvary includes Zeb and Hera in The Ghost. Teva has also broadcast a call for help, which is heard by Marshal Vanth on Tattooine, who alerts Boba Fett, who with Fennec, also arrives to help retake Mandalore. Gideon takes heavy losses and flees.
