    Too late for that, but I think they can do a nifty post-credits scene for Avengers 4.

    Mads Mikkelsen needs to play Dr. Doom. It's a big enough universe for there to be lookalike characters... Just ask Alfre Woodard, between Captain America: Civil War and Luke Cage.

    Avengers 4 is still filming. Plenty of time.

    So many actors could play Doom. Michael Shannon. Robert Pattinson. Adam Driver. Luke Evans. John Boyega. Pedro Pascal. So much potential fun

    Technically, yeah - I mean, they did hire a guy to play Spider-Man in CACW. The difference there was that there was always a version of the script that had a part for Spider-Man based on the circumstances that Sony were facing (IE: Andrew Garfield quietly got fired and there was zero buzz for Sinister Six). Based on how apprehensive Fox was, I'm not sure that they'd suddenly have a version of the script where Silver Surfer comes in the last few minutes to deck Thanos in the face. (Although something tells me that he'd be great for Guardians 3.)

    He expressed interest in the role before, around the same time that Legion guy revealed that he came up with a pitch. Although one wonders if they'd end up using the pitch he came up with or if they'd go for something else altogether if they reboot the FF into Marvel's setting.

    Yes @LadyMusashi you captured my feelings as well. We are emotionally invested in these characters as Marvel has introduced them with their own standalone movies, many of them with more than one movie. The genius of the MCU is not the fact that their movies are great on their own (quality is high and consistent), but they have worked hard to fit them together like pieces of a puzzle.....or painting in parts of a huge tapestry. The puzzle that was put together is culminating in the IW movie(s).....I know this will be the closing of a chapter in the MCU and that makes me sad. Love these characters.....know that this is the end for some.....but have been waiting for this for many years.....

    He wasn't happy with how Sony was handling things - and made those grievances public - and he was a no-show at a public dinner where they were planning to officially announce The Amazing Spider-Man 3. This, combined with Sony realizing that their plans for villain-based spin-offs weren't viable (until, for whatever reason, they decided to try doing that again), the rumors that Spider-Man was headed to the MCU, and getting completely wrecked by a hacking group, led them to the conclusion that if they were going to recast Peter Parker anyway, then they might as well do it in a way that would repair the brand and put a hit-starved Sony in a much better position.
