Millenium Falcon - How/How much modified?

[ New here/Long time lurker, joined last weekend - so forgive if post is in wrong place/considered duplicate. Searched for similar and seemed appropriate to post unique discussion thread. ]

We know the Falcon is most likely "heavily modified" at time of OT.
HAN: "I've made a lot of special modifications myself."

New Mods?
Some time in last week or two I recall mention that the Falcon has been 'modified' ( continued to be modified ) by her owner(s!).
Then after that initial hint I saw this repeated in reference to a new Book book coming out describing ships it will detail, again the Falcon being modified by her owners.

This got me thinking - how will we be surprised by changes?

LEIA: "This bucket of bolts is never going to get us past that blockade."
HAN: "This baby's got a few surprises left in her, sweetheart."

Rumors of Falcon making it to the icey planet/Starkiller base, by defenses, wondered about a cloaking devcies (or some crazy maneuver Han manages-rapid/near planet drop out of hyperspace deemed too dangerous/impossible?).

Then today - with the leaks of toys coming out show Falcon with some massive pop-up gun and the upper gun turrent compartment popped-up into like a rotating gun/cannon. Not certain this toy represents what we'll see in film, though think it's somewhat likely, but all this talk of her continuing to be modified makes me wonder (ostensibly no longer used for smuggling) what's been done to the old girl - how/how much is the Falcon changed?

[ Note: With the toy that was leaked, I do hope the ship doesn't have too many "pop-out"/hidden features... fear of it looking like a 'Transformer'. But could be fun to see if she has a few surprises left in her, for audiences to go "ooh cool!" when we sit it on screen. ]

 

Thanks for the link - yes, that was the one I meant about the book. The previous mention was like an article/interview where the same was said. So when that summary I came out, thought: hmmm, they're mentioning/confirming this again for a reason.

Kind'a hope that new toy isn't the mods (just "artistic license"/"play features" like 'iloveherspeeder' suggested) - or at least it's minimalistic/not over-done if it is.

Han & Chewie's reaction -
Can imagine some shocking scene when Han/Chewie witness some big upgrade/mod, as well as funny banter - throws switch & something diff than expected happens/Chewie growling/pissed because something doesn't work way supposed to.
Or better still - Han surprising Rey with something she'd never discovered/knew Falcon could do.
