So can anyone clarify for me, does Finn throw up inside of his helmet? And is Poe dressed like Lando before or after Finn steals his clothes?

Also how does Finn go from Stormtrooper to dueling Kylo Ren without any Jedi training? And why is Han just standing there cheering him on/goading him to do it, does his back go out or something?

The whole idea of Anakin's skull or at least part of it just seems ridiculous to me (as reported via SWU, corroborating at least some of MSW's info). I agree with the idea that it would have disappeared when he became a Force ghost. Also, the idea of the skull seems to serve no purpose. This is a Disney movie. While it will surely have some dark moments, I can't see them needlessly adding the skull to it. The mask serves a symbolic and relevant storytelling purpose ... skull not so much. It also further muddles the whole Force ghost canon parameters.

Let us hope so, but to be honest both ways are a great way to introduce a character;).

Take a look at recent disney movies, they have really zero problem with hanging kids.

As far as canon is concerned, Qui-Gon is the first to do this, and he passes the training onto Yoda and Obi-Wan.

We can safely assume from that, since Qui-Gon does not disappear when he dies, that disappearing has nothing to do with becoming a force ghost.

Also Anakin is definitely burned on a pyre as well, and Qui-Gon never taught him the trick but he comes back as a ghost anyways.

So the real problem was trying to explain it in the first place, since it was already inconsistent.

And seriously? Just because Disney owns Lucasfilm does not mean these are all going to be super mellowed out 4 quadrant, g rated family films. A skull is definitely not the worst thing they could throw in there. Certainly not anything heavier than we'd expect from saaaay Pirates of the Caribbean.

I wouldn't expect them to do anything more graphic than we've previously seen in a Star Wars film though, but I wouldn't be shocked if TFA gets a pg-13 rating.

Yes, but per canon ... at least what we've seen so far, Qui-Gon only became a disembodied voice. He mentioned that his training wasn't complete at the time. However he did appear during the Mortis Arc. Perhaps Jinn eventually is able to join Yoda, Obi-Wan and Anakin in the Force ghost brotherhood.

Umm, Qui-Gon teaches Yoda and Obi-Wan how to do it. This is covered explicitly in episode 3, there was also a scene planned where Yoda and Qui-Gon have a conversation aboard the Tantive IV and he explains how his connection with the living force allowed him to do it, and Yoda then accepts Qui-Gon as his master, who tells him to go to Dagobah. It was never filmed but the dialogue can be found on YouTube as a part of a restored scene.

Also I was obviously in the middle of editing that post.

It was a mess from the beginning because Anakin doesn't even disappear when he dies, and it's an even bigger mess now that it's actually been established that Qui-Gon Jinn is the first to discover the path to immortality and return from the netherworld.

The problem was trying to explain it in the first place, whatever though it's such a minor point overall, I'm sure few outside of the nerds in cyberspace bringing this up will even care. This is the last thing they need to worry about getting exactly right.

I just hope that they dont find a cell in that bone to clone him, death should mean something in this universe, they were thinking about bringing back Obi Wan, too. Thankfully they scrapped the idea.

MCU may keep the multiple death cheats in their universe.

I think if it's even a scene they filmed, it's solely for the visual. I'd expect something more than ash to be there, he didn't disappear and he was burned on a pyre not cremated so it's reasonable that some bones would there.

I'm not sure if there's actually any disagreement here. Yoda did become Qui-Gon's apprentice. However, during the Clone Wars series, he explains to Yoda that his training was incomplete. He sends Yoda on a quest. This is where Yoda encounters the Force planet and Force priestesses.

I agree with you that it makes sense that Qui-Gon has also achieved this. We just haven't actually seen him as a Force Ghost. The deleted scene is no different than in TCW. Qui-Gon only communicates as a voice. He could show up later as a Force ghost later, just as Obi-Wan first communicated to Luke via voice in the head, before later appearing as a Force ghost.

Also, perhaps Qui-Gon's body disappeared once he achieved full immersion with the Force. We'll just have to ask Kylo Ren to dig it up to be sure.

Yes, he throws up inside his helmet while boarding the carrier (seen in the trailer--he's the short stormtrooper).
Poe is dressed like Finn AFTER stealing his clothes....this is a set photo of Poe before he steals the black x-wing (he's in disguise):

Finn receives Jedi training at the pub from puppet Lupita, who is not a Jedi but has Jedi-like powers.
And Han is dead for most of the movie.

I'm still wondering if there will be footage exclusively shown to Celebration attendees in addition to the trailer.

I'm excited to see characters make mistakes in this movie. From the myriad of articles posted there seems to be a lot of flawed characters that can grow across these three films and that can only be a good thing.

Yoda and Obi-Wan disappeared at their deaths but Qui-Gonn and Anakin did not. Anakin died on the Death Star remember? We watched him die and he didn't disappear. It's a glaring inconsistency in the Saga but could be easily explained with Qui-Gonn and Anakin achieving the necessary enlightenment after they died, whereas Obi-Wan and Yoda were already prepared.

In the ROTS Novel, the life after death thing isn't just mentioned, Yoda and Qui-Gon actually have
an "otherworldly" conversation about it all. At the end of the talk is when Yoda calls Qui-Gon Jinn
    his new Master.

    Fascinating stuff really.
