Takodana (Maz's castle)
D'Qar (Rebel Base)
Jakku (Rey's homeworld)
Starkiller Base (First Order Base/Superweapon)
Luke's "Lost" (the TV show) planet (Luke's Refuge or possible Jedi enclave)

Seems like 1 desert planet, 1 snow planet, 2 Foresty/watery locations, and an island planet where Luke is. 5 planets altogether?

We might be getting even more locations when you take into consideration the flashbacks, visions,etc.

I was pretty sure that Yavin IV would be included in this film, but maybe not?

Well they get separated after the tie crash. Wasn't the consensus that Finn thinks Poe doesn't survive the crash? So perhaps the saber stays with Finn then maz who then gives it to Leia. It's not until after they go to the resistance base that Finn sees Poe is alive (the scene in the trailer). Perhaps at the base maz tells Leia that Rey is special and she be given the lightsaber?
I just find it strange that Poe has a jacket with an accessory built into the jacket that's design to hold a lightsaber.

Too many? How is too many? We have Rey, Leia and Luke that we know of. Finn is not force sensitive I am certain of that. Just because we see him in the trailer defending himself doesn't make him force sensitive. There's possibility that this new generation of stormtrooper have been trained in using some sort of plasma swords?

 

We definitely see that lightsaber hooked into the jacket later on with Finn. But if Poe had it all along, what would be the reason for his coming to Jakku? What would be the First Order's reason for being there?

This "message" is very mysterious. I wonder if the lightsaber is the message? We had heard something about a code.

 

If Poe is indeed a jedi and that's his lightsaber I doubt they will just give it to someone else, seems weird.
Perhaps the accesory on the jacket is multipurpose to hold things but not specially a lightsaber.

You are certain that Finn is not force sensitive? I don't even know what to say to this, it's been obvious for more than a year that he is, we have already seen him fighting twice with a lightsaber, there is the Snoke dialogue from the first trailer about the awakening, what would be the purpose of all this misdirection?

 

It's not at all obvious that Finn is force-sensitive. We simply don't know. But we do have a thread for that kind of topic.

 

The end of Moving Target takes place just before TFA starts. You guys realize that right.

 

If he's already in possession of the lightsaber then I would guess he's there to get the information on the starkiller base from MVS.

I don't get this. This supposed leak (looks real to me) doesn't "gel" with the rumors the way I understand them.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but the leak states that Han & company crash on the snowy planet. Yet that was where Han was supposed to die, but apparently, Leia's squadron rescues him & others. So that completely contradicts rumors.

And how about the fact that Han goes to see Maz on one planet and Leia shows up, yet in that scene in the tv spot, it looks like Leia & company are in a castle.

Something isn't right here about the rumors...I still think that that book leak confirms that Han isn't going to meet his maker.

I think that he is, though. In the official trailer, when Han says, "The Jedi," the camera pans to Finn.

I haven't read that book, but if that's the case, and Leia mentions about balancing commitments to each other in that same paragraph, she and Han are NOT estranged.

Although that other couple in the control room scene in the tv spot might be Poe's parents, it could also be, from Leia's quote about Poe, that she is his adopted mother/guardian.

 

It makes much more sense to me that it's the lightsaber he's after. Also, that would be completely in line with MSW's interpretation. It will be very interesting to see if it plays out a different way.

 

You are confusing the planets and the events, the planet where Han is rescued is Takodana where Maz is located. This is not the snowy planet.
It doesn't say anything about Leia showing up, perhaps she does or she doesn't but then they go to D'qar where the resistance base is.

 

Rather then think back I can just look through my Scholastic "The Star Wars Storybook" (1978) with full color photographs. it has lots of images from cut scenes in them

 

Just because he's wielding a lightsaber doesn't make him force sensitive. I think there's a lot of wishful thinking on the part of Finn fans that he's going to be a jedi.
Rey is the main lead and focus of this story. With a month to go I don't understand why this is still in question.
The awakening is about Rey not Finn.

 

I guess this ends all the speculation of MVS being Boba Fett or a character from the PT or Kanan. He appears to officially Lor San Tekka

 

It looks like Lor is handing over an object into Poe's hands.

If you've followed the MSW outline, it's been said to be the Skywalker lightsaber.

 

Ok, I hate to be *that guy*, but we're not having that very tired conversation in this thread. Let's focus on this really exciting new piece of information about D'Qar, shall we?

 

It's only tiring because people continue to beat a dead horse. Like I said lots of wishful thinking. And my posts were in response to post bringing up the possibility of too many force users coming from this new information that the possibility of a message in BB-8

Thanks, but I'm aware that the snowy planet is not the supposed location of Maz's castle. The first page states that Han & company crashed landed on the snowy planet. A couple of pages later, it says that Leia's squadron (not Leia herself) rescued them.

This is a rumored quote from you-know-where:

"A shuttle lands, and it is Queen Leia with C-3PO in tow. She meets with Han."

This is right after Han meets with Maz in her castle. Something doesn't gel. Nothing is mentioned in the rumors about Han going to another planet to meet up with Leia & company at the resistance headquarters that I know of.

Unless those pages are purposefully out of order...
