I respect your opinion I just don't see it as a competence, they are both the main leads and both force sensitive in my opinion.
What would be the point in strongly hinting that Finn is force sensitive and that not being the case?
He is seen fighting with a lightsaber twice and he is alluded as a jedi and as being the focus of an awakening in the trailers.

Except it's definitely not a lightsaber in the picture... something small enough to conceal in one hand, with a longer necklace type cord.

They are clearly in reverse order.

That sure doesn't look like a lightsaber in the picture. And that rumor has always bothered me a bit. If Kylo Ren truly valued the item he was searching for, would he destroy villages and castles in the process? Wouldn't he be worried about it being destroyed or damaged? If it's just data he's looking for, his actions make a little more sense to me.

 

I am the one who posted the pictures to Reddit. And yeah they are probably out of order. There was a little more to the book but we were closing and I didn't have time to get the rest.

BB-8 more than likely still has the sabre inside, this could be something in addition to it. Something is PHYSICALLY put inside BB-8

There was a scene where Han and Chewie are surrounded by the Kanjiklub Gang + 5 or 6 Guavian Enforcers. It mentions after Finn and Rey escape Jakku the Falcon is reunited with its previous owner Han Solo

 

The book is deliberately cagey as to the object. Besides the artist trying to hide what is in Poe's hands, it is described as a "message" in the text.

It could be something attached to a lightsaber that allows it to hang. Luke used to attach it to his utility belt.

 

No visual indication of where this takes place?
Was it in a hangar/docking bay?


And looking through the Reddit thread... I see it was also mentioned that the "Lightsaber Rescue book" talks about Unkar Plutt offering Rey a lot of food for BB-8.
Was there a picture of Unkar Plutt at all?

The picture is clearly from a painted over movie still. I doubt they would have painted out the lightsaber.
