Yep... I enjoy his long winded setups THIS IS SO FUN, BUT NOT MY STYLE TO POST AND COULD BE RIGHT BUT LIKELY WRONG AND I AM TOTALLY NOT TO BE HELD TO THIS BEING WRONG OR RIGHT OKAY BUT IF IT IS RIGHT THEN YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST MMMK?!

His story is meh-tier, and most of us have put as much together before today. Le cracks are showing.

At least we'll have a record of it all if any of the info turns out to be wrong. Info sounds interesting to me, though.

Well between this and other rumors.

I'm starting to wonder if my hope for a Finn/Ray relationship is starting to dim.

I wouldn't be apposed to a Poe/Ray relationship but..it just seems generic.

Anyway, I like the idea of the parelle storyline of both Luke and Ray going away at the same time.

I really really hate the idea of domhall being just a reanimation of another character from the past.

 

I'd be really excited about this if so much of it wasn't stuff I'd idly speculated could happen in the past:

"Artifacts being sought after by Kylo Ren are collected because they’re trying to figure out which artifact will open the tomb... inside that tomb is the body of an ancient evil being"
-- a definite mainstay of my own musing and an idea I first floated on these boards a long, long time ago....

"[Finn's] best friend is killed in the opening sequence of the film in front of Finn"
-- this was part of my what role could Daniel Craig be playing? speculation from a couple weeks back....

"the crystal in the lightsaber they are holding has the ability to open the tomb Luke is guarding"
-- the suggestion that it is the Crystal, and not the Light Sabre, that is important is one I made only last night....​

Could be I got VERY lucky with some of my guesses, but I know from experience how easy (and fun) it is to pull together a possible synopsis based on what little we know.

I am also becoming quite suspicious of how much of the info we're getting relates only to the first act/set-up -- JJ is making a complete film, right?

That said, if this story turns out to be correct I won't complain....

 

Could it be a Kyber Crystal? I know at one point the object played a role in the OT in early drafts. Also, I think Daniel Craig is an "extra" or that his face won't be shown. He's too well known as Bond and i think it'd be weird if he's seen. I'm thinking when we're watching the commentary they'll be like "Daniel Craig as a stormtrooper is coming up, but you don't see his face. There he is." The first item on your list is so intriguing to me and connects some puzzle pieces for me.

Obv all this is my opinion too.

 

So does this ancient spirit need a new body and we have a body snatching competition going on? Who's body will it get? Or is just a dead body which will revive when the tomb is open?

I have a bad feeling with this type of story - sorry I think it sounds awful...

 

Interesting that the 'leak' says 'spirits' (plural). Sith graveyard? Could lead to multiple Sith characters?

Presumably the main spirit is Plagueis, the Ancient Fear? Oh no, hang on -- that was never a part of the movie, was it....

 

Most of that sounds legit to me. Still don't buy Rey being a Solo/Skywalker. Thought a big part of her story was the orphan factor. Also not sure they are going to throw a love story between her and Poe that quickly, at least I hope not. Super contrived and lazy writing, says me the Oscar winning screenwriter.

 

What about the Gleeson bit?

You think he's a Solo who defected to the Empire and is now hunting Finn, along with Captain Phasma, while secretly planning to destroy both superweapons?

 

I've been saying he's a Solo kid since I first started posting here. No one bought it, but this bit about him defecting is news to me. Sounds cool! I heard the opposite, that he was the child Leia wanted sheltered but Han thought he had a right to know his Skywalker lineage.

All of that post sounds totally plausible. Maybe my little birds got some of it backwards. Lawd knows it wouldn't be the first time! Am I right?!?

 

I'm alright with most of us besides the bit about Pip Andersen. I don't think his character will get killed in the beginning. I think it would be a waste of his talents if his character got killed in the beginning. Of course, this is all rumors.

 

It's possible there's a character fitting the source's description who gets killed in the beginning and the source was simply confused as to which actor portrays said character. Rereading Ward's post, I'm not even entirely sure whether it's Ward or the source who's suggesting that the part of the murdered friend is being played by Andersen.

 

If Pip was playing a Jedi, his death wouldn't necessarily mean he was out of the film....
