i absolutely loved that unseen ep iv footage especially the indoor scene where we get to see friends of luke. the film looks good with those scenes.

 

AT-AT stands for "All Terrain Armored Transport," so it's plausible if they can be used in snow, they can be used in a desert climate. Therefore, one can assume that this AT-AT was used in one of the many battles of the ongoing war between ROTJ and TFA.

Absolutely. I just want to see what the battle was that took place there. In the concept photos it kinda looks darker and "oranger" than Tatooine but the trailer looks pretty much like the Tatooine we know and love so I would assume it has to take place there.

 

So looking at that picture of Driver a few pages back, he looks a lot like Ezra to me.

 

A theory -
Rey wants nothing to do with galactic politics and wars. She has exiled herself on tatooine to live a simple life, much like her father and grandfather. Occasionally Han and Leia touch base with her to try and get their niece to come back, especially since Luke has gone into hiding from the empire, which has continued to hunt down and murder all force sensitives, Jedi or sith. Since being freed from the emperors grip, they now believe it is their duty.
Then one day it all falls apart... The empire follows a trail that leads them to Rey (a known "outlaw" and jedi padawan) and puts all her friends in danger. They set out to search for Luke with the help of a guide, but instead are led into a trap set by the sith to lure them in and turn try to the dark side. This is the new Darth's plan to use the skywalker line to bring the galaxy back under sith control. The empire, hot on their trail catches up with them all and battle ensues. This when Luke turns up to save the day and helps the kids escape and learn the ways of the force to protect the galaxy and rebuild the jedi order, which sets the stage for episode 8.

 

Obviously, but that doesn't mean he couldn't be his offspring. But I just made an observation.

 

Maybe kids from Lothal age better than the rest of us!

 

Hoth becoming a desert planet out of nowhere isn't going to happen.

 

All this arguing about what has been bunked or debunked . . . I thought that the rumor that Luptia was going to be voicing a puppet was put when it was said she was playing an alien in her 70's with Orange Skin.

 

I´m one with you with this - first I don´t like a copy of any of the trilogies, that´s mean all revelations like I´m your brother/sister/father/whatever or let´s hide this young fellow on this planet for his/her safety....I mean - I don´t need and I don´t want to see plots or twists already seen in the past 6 movies. This being said, if Daisy really has to be someone relative, let it be Luke!! No Han/Leia!! Please

Jabba's death probably created quite the power vacuum. I imagine the remains of the Empire (among others) tried to move in to take control in an attempt to reestablish themselves.

 

But were they fighting rebels? Jabbas guard? I can't figure out who opposed them on a planet they occupied unless the rebels tried to capture Tatooine as their own

 

And if we really get Hutts, Tatooine it is for sure.

 

My guess is the Outer Rim fleet that previously governed that area (and any other remnant fleets that joined them) vs remaining Hutts vs other/new criminal organizations vs the New Republic (once they've gotten their own house in order.) These skirmishes would probably go on for decades and be far more chaotic and bloodier than during the "peacetime" of the Galactic Empire.

 

Who knew that Obi-Wan was hiding on Tatooine? Who knew Luke was raised on Tatooine? Maybe Palpatine knew about Tatooine from Anakin. That´s it. Why would anybody, not mention the entire Empire - know about who grew up or was hidding on Tatooine? The "Empire" didn´t even know someone named Kenobi or Skywalker ever existed! The names would be known for several high rank officers who were responsible for the operations against the Rebels. ANd the rest of "the Empire" knew just things like - "they told us to prepare to battle here near Endor, because those bloody rebels could show up....got it??? The importance of Tatooine is widely known by.....us, the audience

To play devil's advocate, there's the theory that Ezra might have been frozen in carbonite and revived just shortly before the events of the movie. I myself, however, would not like this to be the case simply on account of how I don't find the cartoons anywhere near engaging enough to warrant their inclusion into any future movies that would become part of the main Star Wars storyline.

Personally, I'm hoping for the "descendant of Count Dooku" rumor to be true because it would give Kylo Ren a motivation for hating the Skywalkers as well as a great deal of emotional conflict when he discovers Darth Vader, his hero, is really the same guy who murdered his grandpa!

Really? That's amazing, Viral actually said he was sorry for the exclusion of pertinent information from this article. It isn't self promotion when it is valuable information to the authenticity of the story itself. I was coming back here to actually give you guys a ton of updates.
