BB-8 "coincidentally" comes to Rey.
Anakin/Luke's lightsaber "coincidentally" comes to Rey via BB-8.
Finn "coincidentally" comes to Rey.
The Millennium Falcon is "coincidentally" there in the town Rey frequents.
Han Solo and Chewbacca "coincidentally" retake the Millennium Falcon after it's in space.

Heck of a lot of coincidences, even by Star Wars standards right there. The Will of the Force working overtime... or some missing observation that will clear things up.

Rey is obviously the main hero of this trilogy. When Rian Johnson tweeted about her, he didn't include Boyega or Issac, he knows what Rey's role is for this trilogy. Rey is the equivalent of buying apple stock in 1997. Remember that folks!

 

I really hope the story behind Rey is more complex than she was separated from her mother (Leia) at childbirth and hidden for her protection...I hope (if she is the daughter of Han/Leia) that they knew her, loved her, and sent her to train with her Uncle Luke...and somehow, someway, several years ago she was tragically taken from their lives (Attack on Jedi Academy), and subsequently reported dead. Perhaps this tragedy drove Han and Leia apart, and Luke into exile. I hope the circumstances that led to that tragedy, brings all players in this plot full circle and back together.

 

Yep that to, her alliance with Finn starts early with the reach of her hand their adventure together began, I sense Luke will be the one to break the news to her after they are caught up in the Jakku battle I think she created Bb8 during her time on the planet.

I agree. Rey is a main hero. Luke and Anakin of this trilogy.

Yes, I think it's time for a trilogy to focus on a very beautiful woman. Daisy definitely qualifies.

Oh, but seriously, I think I'm in love. I haven't even heard a word Rey says in the film but when I see her I just... .

 

Still confused as to why the speeder on display at c7 said "Kira's" on it. The supposed name of the character was released a long time ago as Rey. I find it odd that they put the Disney and Lucasfilm logo on a plaque with a name that means nothing if it was just a filming "code name". Not too mention JJ and KK were posing for
Pictures with it.

 

Because it's a fanmade prop. Actual name or not, I can't see them revealing it this early.

 

So we've only seen Rey ride the speeder, but presumably it belongs to Kira. Different characters, maybe?

Twin sisters (Daisy in dual role?) Kira is Rose? They wouldn't make a mistake, but they know what gets fans talking....

 

One of the pictures shows Finn and Rey running into the Millennium Falcon away from the Tie Fighter. This suggests to me that she pilots during the scenes in the trailer, while Finn uses the cannons. Perhaps Rey has been working on the Falcon and fixing it up, because it was lost during the Battle of Jakku...

Then her piloting skills hint at her being a Solo or Skywalker.

 

Kathleen Kennedy gave a shout out to Rey's Speeder in a video during the closing ceremonies for Celebration earlier today.

 

What did she say?

 

What? A beautiful woman can't be the main focus of a trilogy? The last two were focused on Anakin and Luke, so it's time a woman was given the spotlight.

 

I was being sarcastic. I'm the last person who wouldn't want her to be the hero! I'm practically in love with her.
