These are raw shots of something that will be touched upon in post-production.
It is glaringly obvious that this is an explosion.
There clearly are several pieces of the speeder being blown up and flying in all directions.
Those pieces will not appear so clean cut when in motion as even such raw photo shows.
There are several leaked photos of this sequence and I don't even understand how is that not obvious...
It's clearly an explosion. No lightsabers. Also, there is zero logic in a speeder to be cut in half by a lightsaber. To what end? To achieve what? Makes zero sense.

I'm afraid I would also have to disagree on Poe (Oscar Isaac's double) being among the fancy garb wearing people which we have seen in these photos. This is highly unlikely. Like, there is zero evidence to support such speculation.
It's good to speculate and we have so much material, but let's not get ahead of ourselves and shoe in stuff that is not there and is not logical to be there (like a lightsaber cutting the speeder...)

IF it was cut in half by a LIGHTSABER then it would be a means to an end to disable the vehicle as a last ditch effort .

Cutting a speeder in half destroys the speeder. I think at this point you might be arguing just for the sake of being contentious, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, bud. We're just going to have to agree to disagree.

Yeah cutting the speeder in half would make sense if say, it was trying to get away and you needed to stop it very quickly. But it'd have to be a long lightsaber, or you'd have to land the blow perfectly, in order to cut it clean in half.

I'm really not arguing or trying to be contentious. But since both you and @AstromechRecords have been addressing me about this I just thought I should lay more evidence on the table and say what I think :)But of course, I'm fine with agreeing to disagree. We are just speculating and also thanks for calling me "bud". (blushes)

And here are more intriguing photos from today's shooting day to speculate upon that I just came across.

I think this should lay to rest the "funeral" speculation...(Pun totally intended)

Yeah if the filming location has enough varied scenery then they can shoot to make it look more vast then it really is .

The gang scene is 42:00 minutes into TFA. This means that if VIII is around the length of VII, the Dubrovnik night scene should be near the end of the 1st act, or beginning of 2nd act.

You could be right, perhaps they're not mourning Han's death.

Time for a new theory, I say they're celebrating his death.

All the indifferent weather they've been having in Dubrovnik put me in mind of this video from Attack of the Clones. It gives a good idea of the challenges the current crew will be facing.

I was excited for a new Star Wars movie in 1999 but ended up with Jar Jar.

What's with the weird Photoshop clipping path around that sunglasses guy? He's more pixelated than the rest of the image. Looks like a fake someone made to say they are working on the film or something.

Jar Jar is terrible, yes, but there's more than Jar Jar in the prequels.

The person on reddit who took this picture said they got yelled at for taking it.

Somebody zoomed in the guy who's looking at the camera and said "I bet it was this guy".

    Sigh. Reddit, of course.

On closer inspection the guy's body doesn't even continue behind the screen past his shoulder, haha!

It looks to me like the space horse prop and doubles are just there so that they can be filmed/photographed so that the CGI team has color and lighting references. The space horse looks too immobile to be an actual movie prop or puppet - and there's no way they could animate a puppet that size to make it look like it was actually running. And then there's the dangling head from the bridge shoot - another typical stand in for the actors to use on set and the CGI team to use in post production.
