    My opinion? I was on the fence, right up to the point YouTube yanked it... as noted in the linked article, that gives it some credence... and I do agree with that author, if anything it is probably test footage

    (and thanks to Echo for giving this some room to play out)

    Agreed! I couldn't imagine Disney even "testing" anything that looked like that. The robe alone was telling.

    Disagree strongly... look at the video where Kenobi first appears in Episode IV... over sized and floppy, and eerily similar to the one in this video

    If Luke's codename in the scene "OW" was meant to be "old wizard", it is a fairly good match

    Again, the fact that it got yanked is the biggest support of it being real

    For me it's not the over-sized and floppy, it's the cheap-looking material and the fact that it's hemmed around the rim of the hood. Looks very unprofessional IMO.

    I agree... it is a long shot... and I was leaning to it being a fan who visited the island post-filming... right up to the point YouTube yanked it

    Blast! Fake or not, I would have liked to have seen the footage while it was still up. Nonetheless, this is an interesting find.
