Ok, for what it's worth, here's how I'd rank them now. I've not read my last post I've quoted before making this, so I'm curious to see how things change.

    Great
    Good
    Decent
    Weak

    Return of the Jedi
    The Empire Strikes Back
    The Force Awakens

    The Last Jedi
    Rogue One
    A New Hope

    Revenge of the Sith
    The Phantom Menace
    Solo

    The Rise of Skywalker
    Attack of the Clones
    The Clone Wars

    After comparing:

    Huh...
Definitely some shifts, but nothing that surprises me too much. I've definitely felt I appreciate both The Phantom Menace and Empire Strikes Back more lately, and I think Solo (as much as I enjoy parts of it) has really paled lately given it appears that its cliffhanger will likely never pay off.

If I have to choose by the poll, it's clear, OT takes the top, prequels second and sequels third, but it is more mixed in detail:
    1. Empire Strikes Back
    2. A New Hope
    3. The Last Jedi
    4. Revenge Of The Sith
    5. Return Of The Jedi
    6. The Phantom Menace
    7. The Force Awakens
    8. Attack Of The Clones
    9. The Rise Of Skywalker

If I have to add the standalones, Rogue One will be there around The Phantom Menace and The Force Awakens, with Solo being above Attack Of The Clones.
But in truth, I like all the movies more or less, with exception of Attack Of The Clones getting the bottom for that weird romantic plot between Padmé and Anakin (just for the horrible dialogues and creepy advances from Anakin), but I like the rest of the movie just fine and TROS getting the shaft for rushed production and mixed ideas with bad designs and hastily put together story. But visually, the movies looks great and some scenes, like journey to Exegol, Lightspeed skipping, Ben and Han Solo exchange are great. What I can't get behind are star destroyers from EP4 with mounted planet killing cannons and the space fight above Exegol with some of the funny exchanges like ''Somehow, Palpatine has returned.'' which is by the way greatly played by Oscar Isaac, who makes the line funny in Poe Dameron way and effectively trolls the Resistant Rebel Alliance and viewers.

And make no mistake, I am fan of Phantom Menace since I saw it in cinema as a 10 year old kid!
Huge nostalgia and event coming from watching the OT on VHS from TV with old dubbing in my language. I have lost interest for SW after Attack Of The Clones, as I had better things to do and explore in my life at that time. To this day, Revenge Of The Sith is the only SW movie together with Return Of The Jedi, that I haven't seen on big screen. I saw New Hope with orchestra on the live movie event showing and Empire Strikes Back had limited screening inbetween covid on it's 40th Anniversary.

I am slowly building up power for one of those marathon screenings that they do from time to time in local cinemas for respective trilogies, but it's hard for me to sit through more than two movies at the same time, so I am fine with Blu-rays for the time being :D

    4. Empire Strikes Back
    5. The Force Awakens

Only going to do the main saga.

    1. The Hidden Fortress/Dam Busters
    2. Speedy!/Billy Budd
    3. FernGully/Apocalypse Now!
    4. The Cowboys/Rashomon
    5. Raiders of the Lost Ark/Star Wars Greatest Hits Album
    6. Ben-Hur/Flash Gordon
    7. American Graffiti/Gone with the Wind
    8. The Godfather/Invisible Man
    9. Lawrence of Arabia/Martian Chronicles

As to the poll, I don't care. In all honesty, I probably watch my number one pick maybe once a year at best these days, and hardly any of the others after that. So, the idea of trilogy ranking is beyond me.

    Cheers,
    Jayson

I wanted to share my recent scientific discovery :) on the 11 non-animated films: it turns out that the main characters appear in very well defined subsets of the 11 films, which therefore act as the character's "fingerprint" and I created this quiz game that I wanted to share https://starwarsquiz.org

    Happy 2024!

Tier 1 aka The Best and I can rewatch at any time:
    Return of the Jedi
    Revenge of the Sith
    Empire Strikes Back
    The Force Awakens
    The Last Jedi

Tier 2 aka I really, REALLY like but they're not my favorite:
    Solo
    The Phantom Menace
    A New Hope

Tier 3 aka I like but don't love:
    Attack of the Clones
Rogue One (everything about the movie is great EXCEPT the music IMO, and the music is so grating to me it brings down the whole movie)

    Tier 4 aka I don't like but it's someone's favorite:
Rogue One - Yeah, it gets placed twice

Tier 5 aka I actively dislike it:
    The Rise of Skywalker

As a whole though, I'd rather rewatch the OT first, then the PT, and then the ST, because I really don't want to watch TROS.
