I'm thoroughly enjoying Rebels. This episode was understandable on the terms of understanding what this episode was going for, they just wanted to show Zeb and Ezra grow as characters and even the crew as well, the scene where Kanan tells Hera it's nice to have the kids gone really shows they're like a family and Hera and Kana are the parents, Sabine is the older sister, Ezra and Zeb are the brothers, and Chopper is like the house dog (but much more advanced, obviously haha). Rebels has really shown LOADS of potential and I've enjoyed dang near everything, sound effects, characters, lightsaber, story, and even the animation. Love Rebels, this particular episode was okay but understandable, can't wait for next week, FIRST LIGHTSABER BATTLE!

    Still playing catch-up...

I am still liking that chopper! His little wah wah to Ezra when Chopper fooled him with the bowel was funny as hell!

Obviously as others have said this is a fun "buddy" episode. Gives the kids (you know, the people the show is really made for) a chance to see our heroes work together and learn to settle their differences. So in that it was OK.

However, am I the only one that gets the feeling that they really didn't "crash" the Tie Fighter? I got the feeling something else happened to it. They were pretty coy about it when Kanan asked. Maybe they did crash it, and thought Kanan would be mad? I dunno, I just got a feeling they stashed it somewhere for future use...

Now onto the plot... There isn't much of a plot for this Episode. However, as I have said before I realize that this show is for kids, but, the powers at be have to realize that adults are watching as well. Once again I get caught up in plot holes.

    1) Why did the Empire want the farm? My 9 year old even asked this question. I didn't have an answer. I think the writers are doing a great dis-service to even kids by thinking that they didn't have to answer that question. Or thinking that the answer is only just because they're the Empire...

    2) Weren't Ezra and Zeb suppose to get more than just the Fruit?

    3) The big one here is we have Zeb. He is one of the last remaining Lasat's in the galaxy. A Lasat that agent Kallus is looking for and Zeb is just strolling around openly in a market with a pretty heavy Imperial presence? eh... Filoni and company need to do a little better...

I just can't help myself, I thought this scene was pretty damn funny!:

I thought that they were modeled after the flight pants or parachute pants that folks working in aviation often wear.

I have to agree. The wrist rocket might be okay in situations where a fine touch is required, but the kid really just needs to pick up a blaster.

With all due respect, I can't disagree with you more. I find Sabine to be grating and wholly unbelievable. She strikes me as a formulaic corporate committee created cliche meant to appeal to a missing demographic for their Disney product, and a pandering to the politically correct crowd. Someone at a conference table with a little too much coffee spoke up and said, "we need to show that teenage girls can be Han Solo too." But it comes off as mostly just comedic, and not in a good way, as we see in the eye rolling "Art Attack" nonsense where she tauntingly prances around trained Stormtroopers who can't seem to target her bright pink head and torso at point blank range. If I hear this 16-year-old call someone else "kid" one more time, I may have to borrow some of your vomit if I run out of my own.

What you see as an unfortunate reality, I see as a merciful gift. The less Sabine the better. In fact I'd prefer it if her character were either matured into something believable or cut from the show entirely.

Governments have a bad habit of seizing private property whenever it suits its purpose. In modern America, we call that Eminant Domain.

Completely understand that, and what eminent domain is, but what purpose did it suit is still not answered.

Maybe I'm not understanding your question correctly. Isn't the seizure of property and treasure a purpose in and of itself?

I am looking for the reason, as I said my 9 year old even asked why they were doing it. Telling her they are doing it because their bad guys and that's what bad guys do is silly. Even the bad guys have motivations that lead to something bigger.
