SPOILER Rebels Season 3 Ep 10 Visions and Voices

Mindless speculation is a ton of fun. What if's and versus questions are too (d2). I'm just too skeptical to the core to find myself convinced. I had a lot of fun talking about "rey as a palpatine" even though I'd not give it better than 20% odds.

 

Yeah, I really don't see the symbolism that he sees in this episode.

 

I wasn't a fan of that one but it's fun as hell to talk about.

 

I just saw the collider review. Sabine is clearly not white. Obi-wan and Satine are white as snow. I know it isn't super easy to tell in a cartoon, with all the stylization, but I've always thought Kanan was hispanic, Sabine was asian, and Ezra was middle eastern.

I heard her described by someone from Lucasfilms (maybe Pablo) as galaxy Asian and Rey as Galaxy Caucasian, when people wondered if she was Sabine Wren's kid.

 

Yeah I just watched the collider review. They believe Satine is Sabine's mother and Sabine is Rey's mother....BASED ON NOTHING.

How did harloff "jump to 95%" based on nothing?

 

Who was Korkie's parent, why did he look like Obi-Wan, and why was Satine so close to him? (Big silly grin)

 

Finally a good episode for Rebels. Does anyone feel like that there's a missing episode between "The Holocrons of Fate" and ""Visions and Voices"? It goes from them combining the holocrons to Maul on chopper's base. I guess I just want to know more about when Maul left. I guess we get a simple solution when Maul gathers items to help me remember but it doesnt matter cause he needed Ezra. Anyways, The episode was a good one. now its leading a story for the Rebels crew. I hope the next episode continues with the last one and doesnt become a filler episode(which most likely will but into another storyarc). I feel that since Maul knows where the Rebel base is at that season 3 will end up with Thrawn destroying the Rebel base(one of the blows that Rebels will take). I hope we get an Obi-Wan/Maul duel. I hope Ahsoka is alive and is somehow around Obi-Wan. I hope there is no Luke easter egg in Rebels tho. I feel that if they did add Luke then it would mean so much commitment for Rebels in SW. I rather not have him in Rebels solely to the fact that the OT is based on him alone. Do we get a Maul ending? does his character end? or does he somewhat get Ezra to turn to the darkside in futher episodes/season. I like how they added the night sisters but it was just a filler to me in the episode to mix in TCW like they have been doing. AP5 is hilarious...

 

Yeah we don't need Luke in Rebels. I would imagine Obi-Wan would be very careful with any ties to him.

 

I wouldn't have been either, but I'm pretty sure Pablo described all 3 as POC.

Well Ewan McGregor DOES think he hasnt been asked for a spinoff yet for a reason.

 

I just hope they dont as well. I kinda iffy about Obi-Wan as well but it has to be a finale episode with him. It feel like Rebels is going towards ANH with Obi-Wan appearance coming soon. I feel with him and a possiblity of Ahsoka being alive. We can possibly see Vader/Obi-Wan duel with the addition of Maul/Kanan/Ezra if they want to play on with ANH when Vader said last time he was the learn now the master. If there was a possibly that they fought between ep. 3-4(to me i rather not have that cause it doesnt fit with the whole story of ANH. I think the big blow to the rebels season 3 would be that choppers base gets destroyed and something happens to Ezra. I think they would try to protect Obi-Wan cause he knows how to destroy the SITH and make some sort of Obi-Wan/Kanan force thing happen...

 

The thing about a Maul/Obi-Wan showdown is I don't know how you have that fight and maintain the truth of Obi-Wan's admission of "Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time ... a long time." I just can't see Maul not calling his nemesis by his true name at some point in the fight. We're too close to ANH for him to use it and it still qualify as a long time ago.

 

Another awesome episode, I'm glad Dathomir was visited again, I couldn't see Maul & Ezra performing the ritual anywhere else, I'm glad Obi-Wan's back on the searching grid. Sabine gets a new weapon to add to her arsenal. This was a good one.

 

Well Maul might think his name reminds him of too much pain so he just Obi-Wan something derogatory after learning that he trained Vader and reminding him of his failures and how he killed Qui-Gon

This episode and CinemaWins' latest episode about RotS made me wish we got to see that Seige of Mandalore arc from TCW in full animation (although the idea that it's just now untold history is still really awesome).

Agreed. I think that's the one thing that actually ruined this episode for me - my own expectations and assumptions based off of Harloff's comments. Other than that, I really loved the episode.

As a fan of the Rey Kenobi(-Skywalker) idea, I wholeheartedly agree that nothing in this episode pointed to that.
And I think it's only in-universe. But in universe now, history has painted Mace Windu and Duchess Satine as villains (the latter in the more "incompetent leader" variety IIRC).

But yeah, I'd like to see the Nightsisters return at some point too. They're too creepy-awesome to just disappear.
