That would mean all of this would have been in vain, we can still discuss everything we have been.

I do not see how you go from comparing kylo to Vader and rey to Luke then arrive at the conclusion that they are siblings.

You seem to have jumped from A - C and neglected to explain B.

In the backstory, Kylo Ren gradually fell like Anakin (instead of the bond with the mother, it'll be with a sister). In the present story, Rey will find out she's cut from the same cloth as Kylo Ren, the same genetics, like Luke discovered he shared with Darth Vader. They've replaced the opposite side parent/child dynamic with that of a sister and brother.

Considering the likelihood that Ben Solo is returning, it strikes me that he alone represents Anakin and Luke, whilst Rey offers something new (as every hero journey should).

Rey Solo is dead in the water, though. It was only ever between Rey Skywalker and Rey Random. Either just as likely.

 

Whatever happened to 'no story but Rey Solo was worth telling' and that Rey Solo was 'inevitable' ?

You've changed your tune fairly decisively and swiftly?

 

When you say canon fact, do you mean as in "an actual fact" or like what you said a few days ago, "she's 100% a Solo"?
