    Yeah that's correct. Poe was supposed to die early but Oscar fought to keep Poe alive.

    I am just hoping they don't stick the character in the background now that he's alive. He could become like a leaderly figure in the Resistance (especially now that sadly Carrie is no longer with us).

    I think that is what will happen. He will serve the Luke's Commander Skywalker role while Rey will fill Luke's Jedi route.

    You said yourself Snoke sensed Ben.
    But he could not sense Rey which is at least as powerfull as Ben, only difference been that she was on that Force anomaly Jakku.

    No eyebrows?

    Yes plenty but let's start with Reyes early years

    I do not think she was born on Jakku though it is possible but she wasn't left /abandoned until she was about 5 or 6 so what was Leia doing those years she wasn't with her that's for sure. If she was born on Jakku I guess she could have left her with Plunk but I find that outcome very very unlikely & I don't think LST was on Jakku til after everything when to c*** at Luke academy .

    are we 100% sure of any of this though?

    we know for a fact that Rey has been on Jakku a long time, as we have the survival guide.
    the only other things we know as far as i'm aware are:-
    • that she told a droid she'd just met that her family would be back someday
    • Maz told her that whomever she was waiting for was never coming back
    • She saw a young girl being held by Unkar screaming 'come back' to a ship flying off... in a force vision.

    i'll be honest... i smell a big rope-a-dope with Rey. I don't doubt that she's completely on the good side... but i'm getting the feeling that all is not as it seems, and that what she saw of herself in the force vision was not what really happened.

    i cannot get my head around her being a Solo.. just doesn't add up to me.

    there is something.... fishy about her scavenger story though.

    Well they were both after the same info that Lor San Tekka had how the FO found out about hasn't been revealed but I would guess that they were tipped of by a informer so there is good in universe reason for them to both be at Jakku but trying to sell the sea that Leia would abandon her daughter on Jakku is going to be a very hard sell to the movie audience.

    @Maximus if she is really just Rey Random then I will agree that the chances of her being born on Jakku are a lot higher & even if she is Luke's then it's still a chance as the mother could have left Luke before she was born & raised her on Jakku but if she is a Solo which is the moment is the unlikely at this point IMHO then No Way was she born on Jakku.

    LOL I hear you. There are 2 major variations on the Reylo theory though. 1- that suggests the connection they have through the Force is a point of curiosity for them and it leads to a possible redemption of Kylo. Some in this camp don't even see a romance or don't require a romance. 2- The second group is really playing up the attraction and romance for some it is a kind of beauty and the beast story for others its a romance that has already had its first sparks in a bondage seen which is okay because even though he Force roophied her when she woke was totally into it so its okay and not creepy.

    Held back trying to be gentle or was held back by a mind that due to the force had more natural resistance.

    I opened recently thread about the coincidence of Kylo Ren arriving at same time on Jakku after Leia sent Poe to Jakku.It may point there is a spy within Resistance HQ.

    This is how I would Like It to be.Only thing this theory needs to work perfectly is dangerous ,all seeing,powerul evil being that will justify Leia's desperate action considering Rey. We need 8 foot tall ancient incarnation of Dark side itself....

    It really, really saddens me that (so far) the only thing the Skywalker family haves going 4 it is that oddious KR. I'm pretty sure KR dies.

    Then legacy goes on through "adopted" PD & (assuming she's not blood) Rey is not something that's satisfying 2 me.

    If we get the 4th Trilogy not having a (living) Skywalker is like Trek without Starfleet. Dr. Who without TARDIS. Holmes without Watson. Halo without Spartan.

    Sure, Halo 3 ODST was great but something was "missing". The next trilogy will be great but I don't want 2 feel something missing.

    I can live with Rey Solo. But something will be missing with Rey Whomever.

    Exactly.

    To my knowledge there is no example in any Star Wars film or other material that Force sensitive persons, who never met in their lives before, were so strongly bond to hug themselves on first sight, saying literally nothing.

    We have example, on the other hand, of enormus power of bond between Force sensitive persons that are related by blood.

    So much that Vader and Luke felt each other while even the mighty Darth Sidious could not feel what father and son felt when close enough.

    Even if they are related, at that moment in time, they do not know that they are related. So at that moment in time, they are still strangers.

    Leia knows that Rey was kidnapped by the FO and held prisoner, presumebly saw Han die and watched Finn get badly injured. Any caring person, especially a woman like Leia, would comfort this young woman who was kidnapped and saw people get killed and injured.
