    There was no reveal. No recognition. If the was behind the scenes (and it was omitted from the film and novel) then that would be a joke.
    But let's look at the evidence - nothing suggests Leia had a lost daughter, was looking for a lost daughter or recognised Rey as her lost daughter.
    Likewise, Rey didn't at any stage suspect Han and Leia to be her parents. No one knows who she is.

    Remember the last two trilogies. The hero's family are characters in the first movie, never brand new ones introduced later on. Anakin had Shmi from the get go whereas Luke had no idea in ANH that Vader or Leia were related to him. Vader was revealed in chapter 2 and Leia in the third. When Luke told Leia she was his sister, she said "I know. Somehow, I've always known."

    That's not what I said, at all.

    My sister is a Caucasian female with brown hair, she looks NOTHING like Natalie Portman or Daisy Ridley.

    What I said had zero to do with white women with brown hair. It's the fact that Daisy Ridley and Natalie Portman are practically body doubles.

    Hunger Games, I guess? Is Katniss Everdeen a blonde? Or is it light brown hair?

    Hermonie in Harry Potter also, kind of dirty blonde? Or is it reddish brown?

    I don't know, you might be right...there isn't often a blonde heroine. Every time Scarlett Johansen kicks butt, her hair is red (Avengers) or black (Ghost in the Shell).

    Maybe Charlize Theron in the new movie that she just had out...but I didn't see that one.

    But like I have said - there are things that make sense re:Rey Solo. But TFA made this story next to impossible.
    The Soloists inability to ever provide answers to the questions raised by TFA is telling...

    Both brunettes.

    I think you see my point. Brunettes are taken more seriously and are given stronger roles. Blonde hair brings certain implications - it's not right, but it is simply the case.

    Also I have 2 sons. 1 has brown hair and brown eyes. The other blonde hair and blue eyes. I think Daisy was chosen on merit rather than appearance.

    The fact that JJ asked Billie Lourde to try for the part speaks volumes. Carries own daughter daughter? Lol.

    Daisy is great, but be assured it's no accident she looks like Carrie and Natalie.

    Yet despite that, some unrelated British actress got the role, ahead of the daughter of Carrie. Plus there is no hint that Georgia Ford, daughter of Harrison ford, auditioned, you would think that if Rey Solo was true, then she would be invited for an audition.

    Billie looks a thousand times more alike to Carrie than Daisy does. Presumably Billie also has many of the mannerisms, speech pattern etc that Carrie has.

    This statement was reaction (fire extinguishing) on people's reaction on Rey and Leia's intimate hug, which implies they know each other ( at least that Leia knows or suspects).
    J.J. Firstly said it was insignificant hug, he ment to make scene in which Chewy hugs Leia First(since, obviously Rey is no one for Leia ;),..." but Chewy was caretaking wounded Finn so he could not do this."
    Than reporter remembered him we see Chewy walking casualy near Leia and Rey...and than J.J had ..."I.I, eerr... I admit I made mistake it was a wrong film cut .".:p


    Full statement:

    Journalist:I had to ask him one question about The Force Awakens: Why did Leia hug Rey instead of Chewbacca? Here was Abrams’ answer:

    "That was probably one of the mistakes I made in that. My thinking at the time was that Chewbacca, despite the pain he was feeling, was focused on trying to save Finn and getting him taken care of. So I tried to have Chewbacca go off with him and focus on Rey, and then have Rey find Leia and Leia find Rey. The idea being that both of them being strong with the Force and never having met, would know about each other — that Leia would have been told about her beyond what we saw onscreen and Rey of course would have learned about Leia. And that reunion would be a meeting and a reunion all in one, and a sort of commiseration of their mutual loss."

    Journalist: But Abrams realizes that some people saw it as a slight and admits that the real mistake may have been in how he blocked that shot( Chewy walks casualy near them, not taking care of Finn):

    "Had Chewbacca not been where he was, you probably wouldn’t have thought of it. But because he was right there, passed by Leia, it felt almost like a slight, which was definitely not the intention."
