Saw Guerrera is a total psycho in this movie.

Interesting. On a semi-related note, does Krennic seem subservient to Vader or does Vader seem subservient to Krennic?

 

First one obvioulsy. Krennic is noone for Vader.

Hey by the way, this guy was in the movie too isn't it? Is the leader of the Red Squadron. I'm wondering how did they do that. Was it CG as Tarkin and Leia or they found an actor looking like him?

 

I think the most amazing tidbits I'm hearing on this thread are the CG Tarkin and Leia faces. Not only is this the holy grail for CG artists for ANY film, but the implications are limitless: they can potentially use this technology to bring back a young Luke Skywalker for an entire movie/tv show.

It's so wonderful to see Star Wars moving at the forefront of special effects. While the effects in TFA were good, I don't recall seeing anything groundbreaking.

 

they used existing footage of red and gold leader, "reporting in" then iirc the new dialogue was mostly off camera and the shots on camera were either from outtakes from ANH (read an article where gareth was shown a new 4K print of ANH and went through every lost scene and dailies so he had access to stuff we have never seen) also like how we saw RED5 clearly die making way for another RED5!

The scene of Felicity when she sees the holocron with Saw is really moving. That was really great acting. IMHO, she stole the whole show.

 

I found Felicity great but not as good as Daisy, specially for emotional scenes.

 

That's how his father (Galen Erso) calls her since she was a baby (from Catalyst: A Rogue One Story novel)

 

I was thinking last night....Ep. 8 could completely get a flashback of what, say, Luke was doing between Eps. 6 and 7. If Lucasfilm wanted to.

BTW, props to Disney, nothing of the plot has leaked before release. Even the trailers were heavily misleading.

 

Rouge one is a not a great movie. But it's okay. maybe 6 out of 10.

Lyn, K2 and cassian are great, but I think krennic is a bit boring. Krennic had a chance and a good reason to make his own rebelian. Tarkin take the credit for DS and Vader letting him. A bit weak enemy. There was an opetunity form some plottwists.

besides why are the empire destroying there own technical "mainframe" all blueprints is at the facility. besides the rebelion on grown had lost. So no need to be so destruktiv.
