    Obviously Leia and Han know who Snoke is. I doubt they hung out in the belly of the Sarlacc with Boba Fett of Friday night's.

    I haven't read the new canon books, but I believe they make Snoke out to be a politician that had a lot of influence over Ben in the New Republic.

    as of about 6 years prior to the events of TFA, we have no evidence yet that Han & Leia know who Snoke is or have any idea that he's messing with Ben.
    there is no mention of Snoke yet in any of the new EU canon prior to TFA.

    not sure if this strengthens the fact that he's the butt-end business of a sarlacc or weakens it [shrug].

    For the big dance number it will have to be CGI i guess, every one knows monkeys stink at choreography, but we might be ok for the fight scenes

    I was rereading this thread, and I thought you would like to know... their mating process is based on real world Angler fish... so yes its "odd" but also physiologically possible. (not the exploding spore part, just hte parasitic male part)

    There is some weird synchronicity going today. Just before having an unwind in the Cantina, this came up on one of my feeds...

    I guess deep space is ecologically similiar to deep ocean, especially for creatures as rare as a Sarlacc.

    The exploding spore part is much more like a fungi than an animal. Actually, the largest living organism on Earth is a fungus measuring 2.4 miles (3.8 km) across, and located in the Blue Mountains in Oregon.

    So in conclusion, the Sarlaac and it's mating habits make total ecological sense.
