    I really liked TFA, in my mind it's somewhere at the same level as ROTJ...

    But a lot of people didn't like The Force Awakens, and thats just fine, it's not a flawless film, everybody has their own opinion about it.
    But in a lot of reviews people compared this film to the Original Trilogy like it (--OT--) didn't had any flaws. And I think it's not a wise thing to do.
    Hear me out! I LOVE the OT, I really do, but I didn't look at it like it doesn't have any dumb scenes or logical flaws or other problems.

    So what are your gripes about The Original Trilogy?

    The whole fact Luke and Leia are siblings is a bit ridiculous anyways.


    Boba Fett does bugger all.
    Luke is a whiny little baby in ANH, Anakin in AOTC isn't honestly far off.

    I don't know. I love the OT. Mmm maybe that Luke is so whiny but that's a Skywalker trait I guess. Would have to start nitpicking lol.

    I love the OT and TESB as much as anyone but...

    The AT-AT Walkers are purely the dumbest thing in TESB for so many reasons. They walk slow and shoot in one direction. Anything that flies can take them down. They can be attacked from anywhere, yet they manage to continuously attack from head on.

    And Luke's training...yeah and people complain about Rey. But I can overlook these and have.

    Everyone saying Luke is whiny doesn't understand that it's part of his character arc...when did he ever whine in RotJ? He didn't, he became more mature and grew past that.

    Don't remember X-Wings or Y-Wings having harpoon guns and of course the AT-ATs attack from head on cos thats where the weapons are! A lot of the Imperial designs are about being menacing and shock and awe and I'm pretty sure the first time anyone saw an AT-AT they'd be shocked and awed!

    Yet the lasers from x-wings, etc cannot penetrate them but Luke's lightsaber can....they are silly.

    Ok, imagine watching the Battle of Hoth without them! The first time I saw them I was like WOW! Who cares what their deficiencies are? They absolutely made that whole scene!

    Ewoks over Storm Troopers (the Emperor's "best troops").....really?

    ^^^^^2 biggest ones right there, and they're both in ROTJ
    If i thought hard enough though i could easily find flaws in ANH, and ESB

    Even if you don't like Ewoks (which is mostly a personal preference and not a flaw) ROTJ had many many great moments..I dare to say many more than TFA.
    I like TFA a lot but no way does it come close to ROTJ.

    I always hate that in video games...
    "here are some AT-ATs. Go and land your proton torpedo/bomb equipped Y-wing, hop in a snow speeder, and take them out."
    Why can't I just drop bombs on them?


    No, ewoks are a flaw. Teddy bears defeating a legion of the Emperor's BEST troops is beyond reason.
    Swap them for Wookiees, and now you have my attention.
