    I don't know what the hell that means either. I tend to lean more towards the Kill Bill half of the description rather than the prior and based on the latest trailer leak...............yea Kill Bill.

    I was excited to see Leslye's vision for Star Wars even before all the info this weekend, but I had no idea she was such a major fan. Seeing her passion and emotion about what SW means to her... it hit me every bit as hard as Filoni getting choked up. SW and the High Republic era are in loving hands with Leslye Headland!

    I wasn't sure about this show, but it looks like it might be pretty darn good. I like what Headland said. It seems like, unlike maybe some folks brought in, she is a fan and she knows the lore.

    Any idea on when this will see the light of day?

    As an old school fan that has seen the transition from the OT to the ST, and has seen the production time rates speed into hyper drive over the years, I must say I agree with you as far as not being in a hurry. I just want well thought out and planned quality storytelling. I'd rather they take their time and get it right rather than rush and be ruled over by unrealistic deadlines. But it's not like it was back then, when the franchise belonged to Lucas. Back then it was like 3 years in-between and when the new movies dropped it was HUGE!!!!! Things have changed and I could go into details as to why but I choose not to at this point. It is what it is. Take it or leave it right? I think as a hard core fan I have no choice but to take it.

    KK said she has seen four completed episodes, which means between four and eight(please) episodes still being finalized, and they are still shooting... But she stated she was blown away by the scope of it. I'm fully expecting a very similar experience to Andor, not only in the darker, grittier themes, but a high level of production value and that lived in, cinematic look that Gilroy made.

    Well thought out is the key right? I think you and I are in agreement. I'm also old school (saw Star Wars for the first time in August 1977) and here I am. Seen all of the changes and complained about some. Oh well. As a fan it is what it is and like you I'm still here. :D

    I read the main novels of the first phase and they were really good. The 2nd phase when back in time and I just don't have time to read everything. Given that this series takes place 100 years after the books and about 100 years before the prequel era I'm not sure how much the books matter for this series.

    Probably not going to matter a whole lot. I'd imagine they are working in a way that the books enhance the story (or your understanding/enjoyment) without being necessary. Or so I'd hope. I usually don't have a ton of time, but one book a month is doable. Especially with summer coming.

    I didn't care for book one until about half way through. It's picking up now, so hopefully the rest will be good as well. :D

    Felt the same way, it's a lot of world/character building at first. Once they got to Porter Engle I was hooked.

    Agreed, more than anything seeing how passionate all these creators are has been the best part of the celebration content.

    Trailers are trailers, and I’m excited to see the acolyte one that was screen at SWC but interviews like this hold more weight.
