The Beauty of Boyega and Ridley Casting

I like that they didn't pick hollywood models but I don't like Boyega and Ridley. I feel like they always put on a show when doing interviews and public stuff and are not themselves. I really like Christie, Gleeson, Isaac, Serkis and Driver.

 

Yes but only a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away and using the force do I think Daisey Ridely looks like she could kick some ass.

 

I think they're all attractive and handsome in their own respects.

John does have that young Denzel thing going on too, I think Daisy blows both Portman and Fisher outta the water with her beauty , which is saying something because both in their prime physical forms they're nothing to scoff at in the looks department.

Oscar Issac needs no introduction.

 

Above average? I don't know a single person in my circle who looks like that.
I would say, they are looking way above average, only Oscar Isaac lacks a bit, he has weird ears in my opinion.
For me it's important, that they can act.

 

JJ promised him a role in something down the line, and it ended up being Star Wars. Never heard of a Lucas connection.

 

It's been months but I remember reading that when the sale took place Lucas already had some ideas for Star Wars and one of them was Boyega based on Attack the Block.

 

I'm only gonna post once in this thread because no offense to the OP but, it's possibly gonna get ridiculous. They are all HIGHLY attractive and are AWESOME at their craft. (Excluding Daisy because she has not been in anything too major so idk) The only ones that aren't "drop dead" or "traditionally handsome" are Domhnall & Adam. It's not all about looks. That being said Domhnall is "cute" and he's hilarious, Adam is not "mainstream handsome" and that's what makes him so attractive he's something different and new, he's a fascinating person, he defies standards. His personality seems very much like Harrison's nervous in big social situations and very private yet he's brilliant. Adam could easily be the best at his craft out of all of the new cast. Daisy is so gorgeous on the outside you would think inside she is hallow but, it appears she is awesome & such a goober. John seems like a truly real person and isn't taking any of this for granted. Oscar is just straight up cool and a fantastic musician. (he can Travis pick like a muddafugga!) GC is fierce and amazingly talented and is gonna be perfect at her role. And as for the straight dudes who say "I can't say that guy is good looking because I'm not a woman" you can look at a male and say "that's a handsome guy" and still be heterosexual it's not like you wanna have coitus with them. If you can't, I feel bad for you because you are trying to live up to something false that someone or society put in your head. Don't be pigeonholed, don't be controlled.

 

I am a HUGE Oscar Isaac fan. Not only does he have the Star Wars look but my God what a fine Actor he is. He blew me away in Drive, Then I saw Inside Llewyn Davis, my jaw was on the floor for most of that film. Then came the coup de gras; Ex Machina where I got to see Isaac disappear into his character, Domhnall Gleeson was also BRILLIANT; these two guys together? It was amazing. To think, these two fine actors( along with everyone else) are going to be in a Star Wars movie together? It blows my mind.

 

I'd argue that Daisy Ridley looks like a typical Disney actor






but yeah they all seem quite relatable.. i'm glad they didn't go for the model-types for the most part. I think they're all gonna do a fine job.

 

She just perfect looking for Star Wars, I can't explain it. I guess that's where the quality of casting directors come in. You look a Daisey Ridley and it's just well, yeah, of course! She's just perfect.

 

Definitely, well i'd say that for John and Oscar too. I can totally see John becoming as iconic as Luke or Anakin.

 

Superficial beauty is one thing. Charisma is another.

They have plenty of the latter which is a lot more important.

 

At first I was going to bash his thread for ignoring Daisy Ridley's beauty. I mean, I find her gorgeous, much like Felicity Jones I can't wait to see in Rogue One.
After thinking about it though, I think you're right: what makes those actresses truly beautiful is their normality. Have you ever seen Felicity Jones' smile? Go watch "The Theory of Everything" and tell me this girl needs makeup to be beautiful!
