    While you can use all sorts of adjectives to describe the extent Daisy and John's attractiveness it is there girl/guy next door look that the OP is alluding to. It makes them relatable.

    It's like if they were walking down the street and were totally unknown and not in star wars, people would not look twice or stare.

    If Megan Goode or Megan Fox walked down the street and were not famous, guys would drool over them and stare.

    That's my point.

    Abrams wanted to copy the original trilogy casting in the sense of casting regular people rather than Zoe Saldana and Chris Pine who look like models.

    my opinion is that i dont think they are trying to put a show. the truth is they are young and the attention is very intimidating and it requires just a lil bit of courage to act in public interviews etc.

    to me, someof the A-list actors are mostly people who got famous because they know other important people and that helped them get in the "industry". with the star wars casting its talent First.

    Oh, I live the fact we have virtually unknown actors. Remember people the big three were unknown. Yes, Ford did grafitti and Hamill did soaps, Fisher was just a famous family bratt. Here we have unknowns. I am so happy we didn't have Tom Cruise as Kylo Ren or something stupid like that. Known actors like Guiness and now Sydow are good as supporting actors.
