    I've just been analyzing some of the images at MF and looking back through the speculation. It's pretty clear Darth Plagueis is going to be the big mover-and-shaker pulling the strings in the background and we'll see him at the very end.

    Remember that Plagueis is probably behind the creation of Anakin Skywalker - using his mastery of midichlorians and the Living Force to impregnate Shmi Skywalker.

    The big scene will involve Luke, Driver, Ridley, and Von Sydow as the voice of Plagueis (Mo-cap by Andy Serkis). Anyway, Ridley and Driver are both Solo children. Uncle Luke is half-turned to the Dark Side. Plagueis is weaving his magical words to convince Ridley and Driver to turn as well. He explains about midichlorians and Anakin Skywalker and then says...

    "I...am your great grandfather."

    I liked it until you said "I... am your great grandfather."
    I doubt we will have a scene like that in this movie, probably the next one though.

    We all assumed Anakin was created from midichlorians.
    What if... Shmi was impregnated by an actual man.
    She hides the fact to Liam Neeson in TPM, maybe because she knew the real father of Anakin was also a Jedi or a Force user.

    This MAN is also responsable for Shmi's capture and death.
    That man kew it would push Anakin towards the Dark side of the Force.

    What if we finally meet this man in Episode VII, or learn about him.

    Maybe it is the infamous Plagueis apprentice... The real one.
    Or Plaguy himself.

    Max Von Sydious.

    Maybe that apprentice was working all along WITH Palpatine.

    Maybe Palpatine & this mysterious guy planned Plagueis' assassination.

    I totally see a I am Anakin's father moment.

    Watch it be A'Sharad Hett. He was a Jedi that went to live like the Tusken Raiders. I could see them making this a part of the story.

    Shmi knows Jake was strong with The Force.

    Why is she so sure about that... She's hiding something!

    That was my feeling the 8 times I've seen the movie in theaters back in 99...

    Shmi is HIDING something.

    I always thought George was trying to work Jesus angle with that scene... So many people claim a Roman soldier raped Mary rather than immaculate conception... Very strange scene to me...

    Is Darth Plegius the same alien race as the guy who warned Obi Wan in ROTS?
    I've seen artwork & sketches where Plegius has a nose and lips. But others have him resemble the guy in the caves that is tall & thin.
    Darth Plegius is a scary dude but not Darth Maul scary(little kids won't freak out). (vicious)

    The big surprise is Kylo cutting Rey's hand off and revealing that he is her relative. Regarding Darth Plagueis, Rey will kill him because she is more powerful than the Sith.

    The thing is, this post really describes what the Plagueis theory really is in a nut shell.

    Of course, Anakin's origins have already been covered and have absolutely nothing to do with this story. Essentially, this wouldn't even act as a reveal to the audience, and it's also has nothing to do with the plot.

    Although I suppose there's some feint small chance I could be wrong and the entire film is really about Plagueis coming back so he can tell an unsuspecting character who really wouldn't care his version of "the tale of Darth Plagueis the wise".
