    I actually think the blaster round that Poe fired that he stopped, was meant to clue us into that the Ren are not Sith and they have been trained in other Force abilities that Old Jedi and Sith were not. I expect to see the New Jedi exhibit new abilities that the old ones weren't as a result of the Awakening.
