20171001_103625.jpg 20171001_110015.jpg I made some buffalo wings. I like to grill whole wings, instead of the sections. The way I do it is, I fold the tips across the drumlet. That way it cooks more even and it is easier to handle. I slathered the raw chicken wings in butter, then tossed them on the cold side of the grill. I used applewood briquets, usually I use lump charcoal, but I wanted extra flavor. Anyway I baked them on the cold side, then crisped them on the hot side. Toseed them in just straight Frank's Red Hot Buffalo sauce. Boom! Done deal.

One simply CANT serve warm entree after dessert!!!
Unless its the neverendibg feast that just repeats itself till infinity...or end of time...whichever comes first :D

So...i forgot to post the cake on Sunday :D

My eldest had a BD party...there was....too much to eat...the Por(k)g was dreeeeeeamy...vegatarians, a friendly heads up.... lookaaway...

    20171001_125148.jpg

    the cake: chocolate...hazelnut....cream....it was....mmmm
    20171001_110144.jpg

But the best part of the day came after lunch...we went to the forrest....there was loooooads of mushrooms all over the place....

    20171001_142149.jpg 20171001_142240.jpg 20171001_143207.jpg 20171001_143446.jpg 20171001_144803.jpg

All those are not for eating and some are poisonous...so we were kinda disapointed...but then on our way home we noticed the sunmushrooms from the car and we picked enough for dinner...they grow on the edge of the forrest on the sunny side....and I made them....yeah you guessed it...fried in thick salty pancake dough :D
we Croats have a thing for fried food me thinks :D

@Greywalker I love seeing these kinds of posts. I am criminally unskilled with stuff I can get from the store, I love to see folks using game and other food they've grown or foraged themselves.

What is the lighter for though in the basket?

I haven't visited this thread in far too long! Sadly, college is not a great place for food creativity. Currently, I'm having a (previously frozen) salisbury steak with gravy, over scrambled eggs.

Today's Breakfast: Miso soup, fried rice and noodles. Added some sausage and bacon for good measure. The view is nice!

Not now, as I'm currently in Saigon/HCMC on a business trip. But I'm invited Friday evening to a private cooking event for how-to make original Vietnamese spring- and summer-rolls. I'll keep you guys posted and grab some recipes over here for the Cantina.

Any of you have any of those fire and forget crockpot recipes? The ones where you toss a few things in and cook till it's done? I'd love to see what you guys do. I need ideas. It's crockpot season!

To start this food adventure show: Here’s a compilation of yesterday’s lunch combo.

So first you pick your main course from the tank…

… before it gets on the table. Cooked…

They also prepared whole chicken (and I mean COMPLETE. Well they removed the feathers before cooking, but nothing else)
    VTN_lunch_05.jpg

The seafood (mainly octopus) hot plate with tofu was really good!
    VTN_lunch_06.jpg

Then it was time to make some fresh spring rolls. Get the ingredient’s …

And then roll on before ready to eat.

Edit: @Greywalker there’s even more Asian food coming up - stay tuned. ;)
