    Inspired by our recent visit to Mr. Pancake, @NinjaRen (and I assisted) made these lovely box-mixes pancakes. We piled them on a plate and served them with maple syrup, bacon, and fried eggs ... and the second batch with marmalade.

    They have about10 flavour which they make in small batches so the menu changes weekly.

    Yesterday was Fajita Monday at the CANTINA Enchilada, @NinjaRen decided to go with the fajitas. We had the one with pava (turkey)/ shrimps, and beef /pineapple. The fajitas were served with source cream, shredded cheddar cheese, avocado and what can I say the pineapple added a sweet twist ; D

    Apparently it was a newly opened restaurant. We were looking for something Spanish and ended up with something Mexican. Not bad of a deal! It was really good and it was enough food to be fed. xD

    I've eaten a lot of animals: pigs, rabbits, ducks, chickens, kangaroos, zebras, crocodiles, snakes etc. Kangaroo isn't that special.

    Well I still eat rabbit & I have only had Foi Gras once it was a special occasion.
    But it’s the sea food which have had the more unusual stuff like Sea Urchin (very salty) & Sea Snails (very chewi).

    So last night was the wife's last day on maternity leave and I figured a special meal was in order. Decided on some surf 'n turf kebabs!

    From the dirt:
    Tomatoes
    Bell pepper
    Red onion
    Baby 'Bella mushrooms

    From the surf:
    Shrimp
    Scallops

    From the turf:
    Steak

    Not much to say other than I would have preferred to combine all ingredients on one skewer, but cooking times vary so much between these ingredients that it's nigh impossible. And good thing I didn't, because the scallops didn't last long on the skewer; I switched to a grilling plate when it came time to try and flip them and they all started falling off.

    Speaking of flipping / rotating kebabs. I've decided I need to get two-pronged skewers. I've never had any luck rotating my skewers without the ingredients spinning on them as well. Anyone have any super awesome skewers they'd like to suggest??

    oh that looks like an amazing feast! my sister and i typically use a grilling plate for the veggies for that reason.
    when i lived in Austin, we did it ghetto-style: we'd make a "butter boat" out of foil and a stick of butter, and then fill it with mushrooms.
    it was insanely good. : D
