The Destuction of Luke's Jedi Academy

I was in another thread talking somewhat of the book Bloodline and some of the tie in's to the new movies. This does have spoilers from the book itself.
The news breaks out that Leia is the daughter of Darth Vader and I think (can't honestly remember) it is knowledge that Luke is her brother (at this timeline). The backlash causes her to step down from her political position but also presents the problem of her never telling this information to her son Ben. She can't reach Ben and Luke because they are on a mission so it will be not only a shock to Ben, but even worse she never told him.
With some of the public losing trust in her because of who her father was led me to start thinking what Luke's students may have started thinking. Could they start having thoughts that Luke may become something like his father, or maybe he could be deceiving them for an evil purpose ? And not just Luke but Ben, who has been showing possible signs of confusion or anger and they may have acted on this? Could this have been the final thing that pushed Ben to the dark side, or could the students have possibly planed on making a move on Luke only for Ben to stop them from harming Luke even though he had joined the Knights of Ren? So many possibilities that I hope we can get some good theories or possible directions that some of my points have started, I mean that's only if I am even luke warm to any of this.

Yes, I can't wait to find out the answers. I hope the next movie covers at least some of this in some form. I think it's a huge part of Kylo's turn to the dark side, that't my take on it anyways.

 

I have seen similar theories like this and thought what a great story line. Would be a huge twist and would be a good shocker to the audience. The biggest hole though is Ben/Ren murdering his own father, how would that be explained? This could be a great idea but to me there is no way to explain the death of Han by Ren that could make any kind of sense.

As @Luke'sdad said they have been very vague over these details and we really have nothing to go on. I would think though that if Ben at the time the info spilled out about the Skywalker's family tree had not joined Snoke and the dark side this could have been a huge reason for him to turn. I just for some reason think his turn was quick and finding out that Darth Vader was your grandfather while more than likely feeling somewhat betrayed by his family for not telling him could be a big part of it.
I also don't mean his turn to the dark side was spur of the moment quick, my theory is he was dealing with lot's of problems and feelings for a while but his final decision and the actual turn was quick. Of course this is all a shot in the dark because we have no idea of the time lines and what was going on during this time, just something fun to try and figure out.
