    Great topic @Chairman Kaga!!

    As much as some of us are really hoping to see Luke go full bad m'fer Jedi mode and save the day. Based on what we do know of the filmmakers' intentions (perhaps not a whole lot) ... one key theme is passing the baton to the new generation. Following that narrative, it makes so much more sense to have Rey flex her Force muscles. It would be like Yoda taking on Vader for Luke in ESB otherwise.

    By the 5th reply I was almost sorry I brought it up lol. One of those things where people who love that movie really, really love that movie. And I don't think Luke fighting Kylo would so much compare to Yoda stepping in to fight Vader in ESB as it would Yoda stepping in to handle Dooku after Anakin and Obi-Wan were defeated in AOTC.
