Ok here's my review on the BB-8 Sphero.

It's clumsy, cute, not very smart, a little hard to control, and the voice control doesn't work well. It picks up a good amount of dirt. Hopefully they can make it control better with updates to the firmware and software. Make sure not to hit a wall too hard or you might break an antenna. The head has a hard time staying on top when it goes fast. Overall it's fun and pretty entertaining for a few minutes.

Also what's up with Rey's Lego hoverboard? Is that in the movie? Sorry if this has been discussed already.

Seems a little too specific to be a liberty. One of those things that the marketing team thought up and forced into the film? If it is in the movie hopefully it's done with good taste. JJ throwing the nostaglic kitchen sick into this.

I want to see some nostalgic grapple hook swinging from ledge to ledge.

I just don't like my action sports and space operas mixing too hard.

yeah. jj does love his nostalgia. and even though i like the prequels i'm hoping someone said not to add it as it would be too similar to the mustafar floating platform duel mechanic. but who knows.

Is it actually a hoverboard though?
In the two different videos, it doesn't really hover much at all. In one video, Unkar's thug uses it as a toboggan to slide down a sand dune, and in the other, as soon as Rey let's go of the speeder, she falls right into the ground.

At least Star Wars VII is one thing that turned out better in real life... definitely better than a Jaws 19.

Kathleen Kennedy was an exec. producer on Back To The Future Part 2. I rewatched the trilogy recently as it aired on TV.

She's been been part of a lot of the classics from Spielberg and Lucas. She knows about kitschy stunts.

I think you're generally right about them emphasizing the new cast over the old. However, whether Han is a lead or not, I think it was a bit lazy for Hasbro to release 3.75" Luke and Darth Vader OT figures in their toy line, while failing to produce at least one ST Han Solo.

Will Constable Zuvio and the generic Resistance Trooper sell more than a grey-haired Han? Maybe for very young children, but otherwise I doubt it. And if age is the issue, it's strange because no one had a problem purchasing Obi-Wan due to Sir Alec Guiness' age lol. It doesn't make sense to me, unless they're planning something cool down the line.

In your opinion is it worth the money? I was able to order one and it arrived last night, but I haven't opened it yet as I'm debating whether I want to really spend $150 or return it. The biggest thing that bothers me is that the sound apparently doesn't come from the droid, but from your phone.

Yeah the sound only comes from the phone.

I feel like it's worth $80 not $150. Unless they update it with more stuff but it's a ball and it really can't do a whole lot but roll around. I'm having buyers remorse just like when I bought an apple watch. Haha.

They need to make one that actually helps you by rolling off its base and finding you and replays text massages or voice mails or wakes you up with an alarm or something.

Thanks. Yeah, I feel like knowing what I know now it's not worth that much money. I think I may return it and make someone else with the money to spend happy.

The plural of LEGO is not LEGO. If you want to be a technical grammar Nazi, LEGO doesn't have a plural. It would be completely wrong to say, "These are my five favorite Lego." Or, "Clean up that pile of Lego."

You would say "Lego sets" or "Lego bricks". Saying "Legos" is actually slang, not incorrect grammar. Everyone that hears or reads the word "Legos" knows exactly what it means, so it meets the standard for a shared language. It might not be proper to use "Legos" in formal writing, but since these forum posts aren't press releases, there's absolutely nothing wrong with using the word "Legos". It's exactly the same as saying "Hondas" instead of "Honda vehicles" or "Nintendos" rather than "Nintendo game systems".

Sorry if it irritates you, but there's actually nothing wrong with it.

Are they not restocking the star-toys because they are selling them for less the usual price? It is interesting that the three Targets I have visited all have leftover Finn and Poe figures.

It definitely looks like the bad guys are outselling the good guys.
