    Good point! I'm not just thinking in practical terms though. The ships evolved or changed with each movie. Even the prequels. This TIE seems like a step backwards from the Bomber and the Interceptor. But you're right the Empire does seem kinda Navyish. They built a death star...then built another identical death star. Star Destoryers didn't really change. And TIEs essentially just changed the shape of their wings a bit. I guess if it works, why change it? Because I want to see some cool new ships, thats why!:p BUT I'm sure there will be tons on new ships that they're just keeping close to their chest.
