Unlikely the timeline moves forward enough to be her child. I suspect this will be two new characters who aren't directly related to characters we already know.

I wonder if Jannah will ever pop up again...she had a lot of potential.

As long as it's not centred on Ben Solo in the future, anything is fine. We don't need a return to that garbage time if you dare say anything bad about Kylo Ren / Adam Driver you got reported. What an awful time that was. It would be nice to see some cast returning too. In someways, I am so glad TROS happened and where the story left off. It zapped out for me any suffocation I suffered at a bad time in my life. TROS also made me enjoy TLJ much more better, so if we have a branch off in the future it could add so much more to every single movie that has been made. I really look forward to that day

I had exactly the same experience on another forum - but with Finn fans. You couldn't say a single word against either Boyega or his character, no matter how reasonable, without getting either trolled or threatened by the mods - most of which were also Finn fans. I was actually glad I got banned as it was a toxic environment for me but I was too stubborn to stay away. One of them drove me off another forum because I got so sick of his endless ranting I called him out on it - and was immediately threatened even there.

I will say this though - the latter featured a mod who once threatened physical violence to two members having an online argument, so that wasn't a fun place to be either!

You know...what I would like to see would be DLF making individual tv series about the ST cast, featuring Rey, Finn, Poe and yes, Ben - he's my fave character, sue me!:D
They could bridge the gap between the ST and the next film, and fans of each character could get to see their stories continue. Marvel movies have done it with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and WandaVision.....so why not?

True, but Lucas often changed his mind on things. Before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney he stated that there's no Episode 7 and will never be because there's no story. But then he came up with his own drafts for a sequel trilogy anyway.

We know that Lucas' drafts had a group of young teenage Jedi in them, and that the story was supposed to focus on the next generation of Skywalkers. In other words, it was about family and legacy. Even though he wasn't necessarily including characters like Jacen and Jaina, there's a strong possibility that he took inspiration from them. Lucas was known for bringing EU characters into canon in the past.

I wouldn't mind seeing a KOTOR-era film, if they did it right and stuck to the d*** source material. I wouldn't have minded seeing a Cade Skywalker film trilogy or series, but they've skrewed that pooch. Y'know, there was nothing wrong at all with any of Dark Horse's storylines or art for Star Wars. It was all brilliant, and then Disney got control and handed it all over to... Marvel... to save money. And now it's all... so pedestrian. Star Wars by Dark Horse was the only reason I was buying comics. I will not buy Marvel nor DC.

They could also make a move about Maz Kanata's new headquarters as seen in Battlefronts II, where you wander around as Han Solo. That place looks like an excellent setting for a movie or series that launches all kinds of stories, even if they were one-shots. It could be like Star Wars meets Creepshow (minus the horror, unless you'd like some scar Star Wars stories).

One more idea... I would like a Cal Custis movie. I think the kid's got chops and I think he's set to go places beyond video games. There've been rumors he's going to show up in one of these Disney+ shows, but I would like to see him get a movie.

I hate to sound like a broken record here. You mentioned KOTOR. I have a feeling we may not see it due to another issue you also mentioned, pedestrian, in other words, somewhat unadventerous storytelling/somewhat repetitive boring/playing it safe from a big corporation POV = $. I myself would love to see the rise of Bane ,or Ulic Qel Droma and Exar Kun brought to live action but I somehow doubt we'll see it anytime soon if at all. I hope I'm wrong.

I honestly think Kylo/Ben and Rey were inspired by Jacen and Jaina, despite not being related to each other.

Oh for sure. No doubt about that. I totally felt Jacen/Jaina vibes throughout all three films.
In fact I wish they had went with Jacen and Jaina instead of Ben/Rey. That way I would have more information and understanding on/of Rey's background. I'm obviously an EU fan.

Fair enough. There are things I like about KOTOR but sometimes, the storytelling is rather blah.

I think they need to make a story that focuses on a spy agency. I was recommending on the gaming forum that they make a 'Splinter Cell' type of game in the Star Wars Universe. I think it would wonders. They could put that in any time period they like. I think they would best put that one in the New Republic Era, since they took away Kara Dune. <glowers at Kathleen Kennedy> An actual strong woman shows up and she gets pushed out because she's the real deal...

The Acolyte is going to explore much of what you're describing here:
This thread is good because it shows the challenge facing Lucasfilm when it comes to films. Star Wars means different things to people. For movies I doubt they move the needle too much from what's come before. These are stories centered on force welding heroes. They have a lot more leeway with what they do on TV though and it's nice they're branching out with projects like Andor, Skeleton Crew, and The Acolyte.

I think SW Visions is a good example of the boundaries.

Well, I was kind of right. They're making films in 3 eras, but starting post TROS. I wonder if we'll see Rey and the books tie in some with what happens in the Dawn of the Jedi timeline.
