Yeah, for me, The Mandalorian came at the right time. I need the fantastical escapism for many reasons.

Season 2 actually came at a good time when we all needed that level of escapism from reality. But what a Season it was.

That's perfectly okay. lol Sounds like a lot of people have. I've watched favourites over again such as the Ahsoka, Bo Katan, Marshal, Believer and Finale episodes so you're in good company. I can now watch the finale without getting so emotional about Din and Grogu's goodbye. Was just so well done.

A thought just popped in my dome.

In the Mandalorian, Grogu does the Force call out to the cosmos which Luke responds to. Eventually.

It's two full episodes between that call and Luke arriving in which; Din has to go back to Nevarro to get Cara's help. Get Mayfeld out of jail. Have the caper at the imperial base. Then recruit the other Mandos and plan and execute their raid on Gideon's cruiser. Who knows how long that all took in real time. A week, minimum, would be a conservative guess. A week at the very least.

But when Rey goes to Ahch - To to collect Luke, he's reluctant at first. But after one day and one night he goes to help Leia on Crait.

So what was holding Luke up for all that time before arriving at Gideon's cruiser?

At least nobody can accuse TLJ Luke of being too slow to help his friends any more. ;):p

From the way the Seeing Stone was described, it transmits a signal out possibly galaxy or rim-wide, and considering that being able to sense someone's exact location through the force is uncommon and usually only possible through a connection to said person, we just have to assume it took Luke that long to find him. He would've had to travel to Tython first, and work his way from there.

This is the Star Wars atmosphere and feeling I've been waiting for. No dumb humor, cool characters, and a story I can take seriously. I'm a big fan of what they've done with this series so far and current Star Wars filmmakers need to take notes. The cinematography is amazing. You can tell they use practicality as much as possible and CGI is used only for the obvious like spaceships and creatures etc. It is a truly remarkable balance of old and new.

Absolutely agree. They've done an amazing job with this series and it only gets you more excited for what they have to offer next.

I can't wait for Season 3. I think Din will help fight with Bo Katan to reclaim Mandalore because who knows what happened to the planet after the Empire rose to power. And I hope they can rally all other Mandos together to help aid the fight.

I think you answered yourself before you even asked the question:

...I can't help but laughing at the idea of Luke showing up to all of these places ~10 minutes too late and seeing nothing but flames and carnage. "Well, I guess I know I'm on the right track. Come on Artoo, let's see where he's headed now.."

Yes! People keep wondering how the tracking beacons work... They don't. People just follow Din's carnage. :D

Even though it feels like this “Mandalorian Cinematic Universe” has only begun, I’m excited to see how it ends up culminating. Imagine if Din Djarin gets his own Tony Stark Endgame moment.

“I am Mandalor,” or “This is the way,” are both acceptable lines. :p

Hmm. I'm not sure it was necessary for him to go to Tython first or how that would help him locate Grogu later on.

The impression I got was that the Force guided Luke to Grogu after the connection was made.

Luke clearly let the Force guide him to wherever the Resistance was in the Last Jedi too. And he found them right away.

You mean Luke "followed" Din around for a week or two? He wouldn't have sensed that Grogu was separated from whomever he's currently tracking? If Luke was tracking their ship I'd be surprised if he didn't realise he was tracking Slave I and its owner Boba Fett.

I'm only teasing this but it goes to show that you can open a can of worms ANY time you apply the same scrutiny as the supposed worst or most divisive parts of Star Wars receive.

Luke didn't have to actually go to Crait though. Am I missing something?

He found it no problem. And it was reachable in a matter hours if he had physically gone there.

What I mean is that Luke had to physically get in an X-wing and tangibly go to Grogu’s location - which was intentionally moving so as not to be found.

Couple that with the fact we have absolutely no idea where Luke was or what he was doing when that psychic SOS went out, and it seems rather reasonable to me it took a bit. Y’know? Maybe he was on the other side of the galaxy saving some other at-risk-youth and not diligently waiting around for the bat phone to ring.

Same thing that was holding him up for all that time before arriving at Jabba's palace to rescue Han Solo.
