I think you're probably correct, the fact that Carl Weathers directed episode 4 means its very likely a family reunion type of thing - it'll be great to see those four back together again.

It would be a nice interlude or stopping-off point before Din & Baby continue their journey.

Well that's depressing :( type F for Korkie

    Ok. Wow.
A 9/10 for me. Really enjoyed it.
Bryce has done an incredible job here. Far better than her episode from season 1 (maybe not her entire fault, cause the weakest part was the script).

But this chapter 11, we can't deny it's exciting!
-Bo Katan! Didn't expect that entrance. So epic. And her fisonomy and movements are exactly the same as we know:eek:! (maybe too much lips makeup but its fine XD). She is a character with a lot of backstory that riches the universe.
-Love the world building generated in some races, the reminiscences of the Empire, Mandalore arc story and connection with Clone Wars/Rebels show.
-Yes, no time to breathe in this episode. Not necesseraly a bad thing but definetly 5 more minutes with dialogs to enrich the back story could have been perfect.
-And excited just because a character says another name. Never been a big fan of that character but how cool is that! Can't wait to see Ashoka now :)

P.S. Is Baby Yoda meditating in the beginning or sleeping like the other two? Yes, for me it's meditating.
P.S.2. We have to see Mando eating or drinking something.

Who else was on the edge of their seat thinking Baby Yoda will eat the little tadpole?

Surprisingly, this was my least favorite episode. I liked it still, but there was something about the pacing that threw me off. It didn't excite me the way the previous two episodes did, although big things happened. I was so glad to see Bo Katan and Katee Sackhoff again. The conflict between her and the Armorer would be fire. But, it's good to see Din's beliefs challenged.

Who wants to bet that Din gets embroiled into Mandalor affairs anyway? Because Moff Gideon isn't just to give up on the Child, is he? You can see that this imperial remnant is made of pure fanatics. Titus Welliver has a perfect face to depict that.

But, we are moving on so that's exciting. I am excited for Ahsoka (not so much for Rosario Dawson), hopefully she will give us an insight into a larger world, heh.

Loved the episode, but probably least of this season so far, only because it was the shortest. It might have been the best-per-minute! There’s an opinion wrapped in a riddle tied up in an equation... :D

Bo-Katan reveal was awesome, fight on the ship was awesome...

I liked the bit where the squid-creature did an Alien face-hugger move on the Child, especially after the last episode’s Alien vibes.

That shot of the mandos launching with the sunset in the background was epic.

The Imperial captain dude was ... that guy... who’ve I’ve seen in things! *searches* Titus Welliver!
Cool way for him to go out - did you all catch he died a little like the Krayt Dragon died? Electricity in his mouth. Feels like a motif that could be portentous of something else later in the series/show, because there’s a lot of that when you re-watch, I find.

Also thought it was interesting that’s yet another episode with a huge beastie with a scary tooth-filled mouth that is then escaped... it's almost as if they’re priming us to accept the full return of a character from the films who we saw fall into a huge beastie with a scary mouth... ;)

ME. The entire time. But see how good the little guy can be when he's SUPERVISED, Mando?

Great observations! I love the details in this show...it's so well crafted and hardly anything is wasted. I love going back to mine the episodes for stuff I missed the first *cough*dozen*cough* times.

I just realized upon rewatch that the mechanic is wearing a fisherman's sweater. I don't know why a Mon Cal dude wearing a fisherman's sweater--and waders--is so hilarious to me, but there it is. :D

Pretty much confirmed then will get our first look at live action Ashoka during Episode 5. Dave Filoni wrote and directed that episode.

Katee Sackhoff is great as Bo-Katan. Wonder if they created the animated character based on Katee's appearance...?

Interested to see how "the forest planet of Corvus" factors in. Maybe just an entirely new location. Looked it up and found no existing references in the SW universe.

Was a little confused as to who Bo's partners were. Glad the one was not Sabine, as she looked nothing like the animated character. Had to turn on the subtitles to discover their names.

Bo's team was very in-line with how they fought in TCW & Rebels ... very shock-and-awe. And quite fearless.

Looking extra forward to seeing Ahsoka and hopefully Sabine next week. My gut says the bulk of that episode will be his search for them and we'll be introduced near the end (but what do I know). Onward!!!!!

Oh, and snuffing out some of the Mandalorian culture/creed/groups was cool. Nice to get some additional info.

Instantly after watching the episode I dropped everything and worked on the breakdown of it up till now. :p I do wonder why so many established content creators post 15 minute long videos where they basically narrate the episode.

As for the epiosde, wow. Bo-Katan just works, they nailed the character, she had a very distinctive silhouette and way of moving in TCW, in mando she is EXACTLY the same!

I was surprised they had the guts to use the same voice actress in the CW for the live action Bo Katan!

Remember when people were making a big deal about Sasha Banks’ character? All she ended up doing is slurping on a worm and saying like two lines. :p

    upload_2020-11-13_9-14-15.jpeg

Off-topic, but I wonder if the cloaks that Bo Katan and Ursa Wren wear in the recent Clone Wars season were retroactively inspired by Sasha Banks’ outfit here? Or vice versa.

    upload_2020-11-13_9-26-22.jpeg

Anyhow, what a great episode! I wasn’t a big fan of Chapter 10, but seeing Frog Lady reunite with Frog Man made me smile! I also burst out laughing when the Razor Crest fell in the water and the Mon Calamari just shook his head in disappointment.

When I first saw Katee Sackhoff in live action Bo Katan armor, my immediate reaction was “Holy mclunkey!”. That moment where she’s saying how Mando didn’t kill that guy’s brother, she did, and then they kill all of them was so incredibly badass. This episode with her showing up, the brief appearance from Moff Gideon, and alluding to Ahsoka Tano was exactly what I was expecting and hoping for from this season. (I am kinda surprised that they mentioned Ahsoka showing up in advance; I was expecting for it to be a surprise moment with her popping up out of nowhere.)

This is the second time this season where Din has encountered Mandalorians (or people wearing Mandalorian armor) that take their helmets off but this time, he’s confronted with the reality that The Way he knows may not be the actual “way”. Perhaps if we see Sabine later on this season, he’ll be reaffirmed of this. This is making me wonder how his next encounter with The Armorer is going to go, seeing as how she kinda seemed to be the leader of that covert. It’s a very interesting layer added on to Mandalorian culture.

Seeing a Gozanti in live action was super cool. Though they showed up in Solo too, it’s cool to see stuff from the animated stuff coming into live action. I loved the acting of the Imperial Officers. The two pilots were just confused and uncomfortable the whole time and the main officer had a great presence.

All in all, great episode! I imagine we’ll take a detour to Nevarro next week and hopefully Greef and Cara will be sticking with us for the rest of the season.

I wonder if she did her own stunts though... I'm thinking that would be why they signed her up. She did seem to fit right in with Bo Katan.

Another random thought: What fell off the Razor Crest at the very end? It seemed too deliberate to be nothing of importance.

There were a number of pieces falling off of it throughout the whole episode. That thing is never going to pass inspection.

That could be a good reason to go to Nevarro it’s somewhere Din can actually get his ship properly repaired.
I’m sure Peli would do a good job but I’m not sure she has enough spare parts to fix everything that needs doing on that ship.

Bryce Dallas Howard is a phenomenal director of the Wars among the Stars.
She really knows how to maximize the humanity of the characters.
For a rookie director she's taken on a lot of heavy lifting for the show IMO

Just watched the episode - what a great show! That was a really great episode in the style of Star Wars!

    My favorite moments:

    1. Crash landing on the planet in the style of Anakin's landings in Clone Wars Series. Really cool to see it in live action. Poor Crest :(
    2. Walking crane. And local fishermen mechanic :D ( red lamp blinking Mando! )
    3. I was not expecting this from the quarren folks. OMG this creature is huge!

    4. Who expected Bo Katan and team? :) what a nice twist! She is one of my favourite characters from the Clone Wars, how cool to bring the character into the Mandalorian!
    5. Gozanti in live! Waw waw waw one of my favorite ships in Star Wars is in The Mandalorian! I am so impressed. This thing one of the greatest armored transports in Star Wars.
    6. Hmmm ... all roads lead to Moff Gideon.
    7. What is the Moff doing with his people so that they prefer to die instead of surrender? Interesting methods :)
    8. Poor Crest as I already said, this is a disaster ... :(
    9. I love how baby yoda eat that sea monster :)
    10. The Crest is falling apart, what will the Moff say when he finds out who stole his Gozanti?

Tomorrow I will upload pictures with comments in the thread for pics. This episode was the best so far in visual effects and lore reference, so much graphical references! I will wait a bit so more people watch the show.

I expect that show speeds up from now on. The Moff will run after Mando chasing baby Yoda. And he seems to be a very resourceful Moff. So things will get much more interesting.

Yep, so far no Sabine. The helmet though is similar. Maybe we see her in the next episodes together with Ahsoka. ( hopefully! )
