Afraid not, being in the UK I don't get Disney + and someone didn't come good on a promise of, shall we say, delivering the goods?! But I am aware of the
baby Yoda thing. Is that definitely a baby Yoda clone though? Or are you referring to something else?! Spoil away!

I agree. Although it could be said that some of the ground work was there for Sidious offspring in the Prequels. As mentioned, it was the original idea to have him reveal to Anakin that it was he who had created him. Palpatine of course, in JJ's favourite Prequel scene, says that his master had the ability to "create life" and does so with a wink wink that one could now take as meaning he had that power himself.

It might be a little heavy on the exposition and we'd still be left wondering why he didn't just do this sooner or numerous times to get an apprentice. But it's not out of the realms of possibilities that have been somewhat established. I'd prefer that to shoehorning in the rather grotesque idea of Palpatine finding a mate, likely unwilling, spread his seed. And what became of Mrs Palpatine? Nah, it's too weird.

If they do bring Plagueis back into this (in terms of explaining Palpatine's ability to cheat death or save others from death), then they might attach to it the idea of creating life. That would help bring the story full circle as well, in regards to explaining how Anakin came to be.

Palpatine flat-out admits to lying to Anakin during their conversation at the opera by saying "To cheat death is a power only one has achieved, but if we work together, I know we can discover the secret" just after Anakin has turned.

^ The point of bringing that up is to dispel the persistent notion that Palpatine somehow created Anakin through the Force.

    Very well said.

For instance, if someone had asked Pablo six years ago if Han dated a woman who worked for Maul, he'd also probably have said no.

Same for Thrawn being defeated by space whales.

    And the list goes on.

Anakin must have felt so stupid after hearing Palpatine saying that. "Wait, I thought you already knew the secret?! You lied to me! I'm calling Mace Windu!"

What does one have to do with the other? He could have created life (Anakin) but not known how to cheat death yet. Two different things.

Dr Pershing has a patch on his sleeve that is similar to the cloners on Kamino. It appears that baby Yoda is wanted in order to be possibly cloned

Spoiler: Snoke was a Force Projection like Luke at the end of TLJ. He allowed it to appear he was cut in half. :D

Lol. I don't think he was a projection, but just a cloned body used by Palpatine to reanimate from afar.

Since this topic has a spoiler mark, I’ll just go ahead with my thoughts about Snoke after I saw the Rise of Skywalker this morning. Some have mentioned it here before and I really think that scanning “baby Yoda” was part of the plan to create Snoke. I guess Palpatine wanted to create a powerful Force user that was obedient to him, just like the clones were.

Dude doesn't get cannon. He can't wrap his head around it. I've argued with him about it, even posted links to Pablo's own tweets that explained it...he still doesn't understand it. It is straight up strange how he doesn't get it.

What's funny, is that ROS and Mandalorian already contradicted things Pablo has said. Sheev had at least one kid. Folks at least tried to clone force users. There were clearly more than one Snoke. On and on.

He really thinks the entire universe is planned out and Pablo is more important than JJ or Rian or whoever. No matter how much you prove to him otherwise, he won't admit it for some very odd reason.

Something isn't cannon until it is. Its that simple.

Jason ended up being correct that we saw replicas of Snoke in the film, but Snoke himself was not a clone, because a clone is an artificially created copy of an already-existing individual, whereas Snoke was a completely artificial being created via science and Sith magic.

I have no desire to get into an argument about the concept of Canon, but what I will say is that I was in the wrong for putting more Canonical weight behind Pablo's Tweets than I should have.

20200108_154651.jpg I'm reading TROS the visual dictionary. Intersting that the homeworld of Snoke is Exegol.

So, Snoke's homeworld is Exegol, the Sith's secret planet.

I wonder if Snoke could be a clone of Darth Plagueis? Now this would technically mean he's not Plagueis but still be in a certain point of view.

Perhaps by being so powerful, Darth Sidious decided to create clones of him, or other genetic recreations in order to take advantage of his power in order to serve him, to be his puppets, and one of which could be the Snoke we see. I've seen TROS 2 times, and I was left wondering if one of the "beings" we see inside a liquid in the beginning, in the Exegol citadel could in fact be prototypes to create other Snokes/Darth Plagueis.

Well, just a thought that crossed my mind after reading Messi's post on TROS' visual dictionary :)

\Edit: By the way, having only 2 wayfinders to Exegol, one protected by Darth Vader in Mustafar (I believe I read somewhere it was there) and the other by Darth Sidious in the DS2 emperor room, is cool. I just have to wonder, why did they still exist? If they didn't want to be found, I guess they would have destroyed them by now. Or, was the plan that they wanted to be found? We did see Kylo discovering Exegol by way of one of the wayfinders and later on Rey found the 2nd. So, maybe that was the plan.
