I predict he is going to be more like a Lando. Neither Republic, Resistance or First Order. But holding a lot of power in his sphere of influence.

In this scenario, he may very well be a villain, but not an ally of the First Order. Perhaps he is a devil that Leia/Poe/Finn need to make a deal with.

But still hope that he plays Ezra who maybe hiding from both Luke and First Order. According to "Bloodline" we can suggest that Luke most likely very far from academy, searching for the first jedi temple with Ben. This assumption almost indicates that Luke have other masters who can care and train padawans. Also I think that KoR didn't have open fight against academy Masters, knights and padawans when they were end with Luke's academy. For my point it was some kind of terrorist act. And if i started talking about Ezra i must conclude that if he was one of the academy masters he may have serious reason to betray Luke and allow the KoR to do their terror. Maybe he is having a child who's life was in danger if he try to stop KoR.

Just speculation and very big desire to get Ezra to the sequel trilogy

While it would be interesting to see, I just don't see It happening in the ST

 

I can't wait to see him & Poe point score, they must have alot of history going back before TFA.

I think so strongly that BDT is going to be the main bad guy by the time we get into ep9... that i would offer to eat my hat if i'm wrong. Unfortunately i made the hat eating offer a while back when i predicted that Domhnall Gleeson would be playing Luke's son.

 

The 'man in black' reference is interesting after watching 'Lost'. I hope he is the real bad guy and not a 'Lando' type character.

utter lack of information regarding the character he plays, and his ability to pretty much play any kind of role... makes our life difficult lol.

If i was casting for the most sinister, nastiest piece of work villian we've ever seen since what Ian Mcdiarmid did with the Sidious role... BDT would be in my very short list.

As a big fan of Westworld and the Dark Tower, anytime I hear someone referred to as The Man in Black there is a great deal of excitement. It is a very cool archetype.

 

It's pretty much what everyone is thinkg because TFA followed a same pattern for a new hope .

 

I share that concern. What I'm more worried about is everyone lapping it up like it's some kind of neat symbolic parallel rather than a lack of ingenuity.
