    Hope they will use the Trhawn character or another leader like him. His inteligency in the wars field and how he learns about a civilization just studying their culture in art its the aspect I love most in the Zhans trilogy.

    I was torn between Del Toro being a Knight of Ren or a General of the First Order but I eventually came down on the side of the latter. This is mostly due to the fact that I think the KoR are going to be around Kylo's age, slightly older or younger, and Del Toro is in his late forties (I believe) so it makes it more likely he would play a FO strategist/admiral. Someone more senior than Hux who has field experience and would be leading the largest FO fleet against the defenceless NR worlds.

    Perhaps that could be the overarching plot of Ep.VIII, trying to identify the traitor within the NR only to reveal it to be Del Toro at the end causing some disarray in his NR fleet, each soldier accusing the other of being a traitor and infighting becomes imminent. Just before each side comes to blows, Del Toro, and other traitors, are revealed but then a FO fleet could suddenly ambush the distracted NR fleet: cue large space battle.

    That's how I could imagine it turning out with your idea but I'd prefer it if Del Toro was just a straight up bad guy, FO admiral/general, because I feel like the NR has enough problems, if it's still going(PLEASE DISNEY PLEASE), without having a treacherous NR fleet.

    Haven't read through all the posts. Has anyone suggested Ransolm Casterfo as Del Toro's character? Casterfo is set to appear in the upcoming Star Wars: Bloodline novel. With Del Toro set to film scenes in Dubrovnik and the set pieces leaked, I think a Senator character makes sense. The Dubrovnik set could be the temporary home of the Republic, with a corrupt Casterfo leading the senate and declaring action against the Resistance.

    I'm really hoping he's a dark leaning Ezra--not a Sith, but significantly darker than he was pre-ANH. Ezra also had a lightsaber call to him.
