Water is great. One of the most calming things on the world for me personally.

 

Whereas I like pizza, and I like pineapples, but I don't like pineapples on my pizza.

 

I like pizza with pepperoni, banana peppers, and anchovies!!!!!!! mmmmmm gimmee little salty fishes!!!

 

I love to travel.
But in times like this I have to stick with some of my favorite books. Reading is the only way for me to have a nearly similar feeling. It's just imagination but it works for a while.

 

I should really pick up reading again. I haven’t had much time for it this year.

 

Yesterday was quite an eventful and novel day.

To begin my husband dumped a bunch of crap in my sideyard which is my future Japanese zen garden. It was broken birdseed because it rotted. I think he's acting crazy because a year or two or three ago a rock hit his windshield and time and rain had caused it to expand and it finally broke off. It's kind of funny looking though/.

Then I was driving my grandson home and on the way back we saw a guy sat in a chair on the side of the road. I think his truck had broke down.

I am being forced to join more invironmental groups and I may drive to the store to buy gaint black cutouts for my posterboards. I have a meeting tonight at Omichio's and a girl is telling everyone who comes that she will pay for pizza. It is a novel idea but she is broke but I have warned her so I will not bail her out of the super huge bill!

I have just driven through Taco Bell after parkour for my grandson and I asked the guy at the window for a green freeze. I said can I have a green Freeze preaze because it was like a tounge twister but it was embarrassing. Then my husband asked if the meet was canned and ended all his sentenced in Os like fake Spanish. He often makes annoying jokes but my grandson finds them amusing? Right now I am driving through McDonald's and the truck thing in front of us has a window in the back missing and it had a cardboard box in it. It looks a little temporary. I have just said that their new screen that shows the different combos of food would take a long time to show me everything. They do not understand. I have repeated. They do not get it. I will stop trying. I just order a Chicken McWitch and they said it is not on the menu. If a guest is reading as I type could they email me to tell me if it exists? Maybe I am mispronouncing it? Could that be?

We are home now. My husband is attempting to juggle eggs. I am annoyed.

 

My wife and I grew up watching Bob Ross teaching painting on public television. We showed some episodes to our young children and they asked to see more. That made us happy.

I am trying like hell to be peaceful, but current events keep derailing my efforts.

Most of my anger is directed at the cancel culture, which never seems to end, and yet seems to get bigger.

 

I am not sure if we are allowed to speak of it here. It may get shut down.

 

Occasionally I like to write up support conversations for characters in Fire Emblem: Three Houses who didn't support each other in the actual game. It started with what I call Silver Route Supports - supports between two house-leaders at a time - but it's branched off to include other characters who simply don't support each other in-game and one OT3. The conversations are far from perfect, but I have fun writing them most of the time.

Two days ago I wrote a Manuela/Marianne support, and last night finished the Dimitri/Dorothea support, so I'm feeling pretty proud. And now that their support convo (along with the F!Byleth/Dimitri/Dorothea OT3 support) is finished, I want to try out another OT3 with Claude/Edelgard/Petra. The reason I like to try these isn't simply for shipping reasons, but for character dynamics. Writing these supports challenges me to come up with situations that fit all three characters in different yet complementary ways, where they can all grow together. It needs to fit in with what's come before while allowing for something new to grow. There are some non-romantic trio supports I'd love to try out, but I'm not sure I'll ever get there.

Writing these supports has been a unique challenge that's draining and fun, and helps when I think about how to balance a large cast in my real writing. The supports really help me try to see the characters from multiple angles. I get to work on character voice, problem solving, and even worldbuilding in new ways hopefully without it sounding too much like "my people are from ABC and we do thing XYZ" or "I'm angry because of reason 123!" I'm working on showing, not telling, all within the medium of conversations. It's weird, but it's been really helpful.


...I really should be working on homework or studying for a test that I have this Saturday instead...
