I wish Tim could elaborate on the secrecy of the filming and why it made the process so frustrating for him as an actor. He's saying he didn't have everything he needs to do his job properly.... I'm guessing he didn't know the script fully or the plot of the movie well enough outside of Ackbar's lines? Hopefully he will be able to expand on his comments after the film is out, because I find that statement to be one of the most interesting things anyone has said during the whole production of TFA.... Anyone have an idea?

It is kinda neat that seemingly even the principal actors in the movie don't know the whole story and will get to experience it for the first time in what I presume will be the internal screening of the (near?) final cut.

And hearing this again makes it really hard to believe ANYONE has the whole script outline to put together and come up with the skeleton for the whole movie. If the actors only got their pages of the script, and were only allowed to see their sets, and security remains so close lipped that even they don't know the whole story, then why do we believe posters who claim to have either seen an uncut version or who have the filming block schedule for the whole film?

im glad they made sure no drones entered a pinewood set even though one managed to film from high above but yeah this is not 1977, disney is doing a good job. i wouldnt be surprised if they even use drones themselves to counter spy drones for skellig island filming. anyways its way better to whine about secrecy than having an idiot leak 25% of the plot in 10 seconds of video.

    I just hope he doesn't say "it's a trap".

I bet he is just a commander in the final space battle.

No. JJ won't do that I promise you. As it is a very famous line, me myself wouldn't like to see it.

But you know how he repeated that they won't refferrence things just for the refferrrence and how filming on the falcon doesn't make every scene great.

How could the actors not know the whole script? Didn't they have a round table read through?

Just because we saw a photo op of the actors sitting around with papers in their hand doesn't mean they were reading the script as a whole outline. For all we know when that picture was taken they were holding and discussing the in-depth NDAs and penalties, swapping stories of what to expect from the fanbase, or just a general what where the film was heading. I believe we have heard from several sources and different actors that stated they were only given their lines of dialogue for that particular scene, given it on the day it was shot, not allowed to take home to rehearse, and it was on the red paper so it couldn't be photocopied. I believe, and it was sometime back, that the only actors who actually had a somewhat overall script to look at was Harrison Ford and maybe Fisher (?). Seems like GG also made similar statements of the limited script he was given to work from.

I think they have chuckled. I haven't seen the "frustration." They are getting the biggest bumps in their careers and will have more money than some countries. Also most of them seem to have a sense of pride in their work that they want people to have the option of being surprised by the film.

I have seen pictures of Van Gogh's posters and they do a decent job depicting the work. I have also stood a couple feet from the painting itself. It moves and the sky spins as you follow the thick brushstrokes around the moon. There really is something to enjoying art optimally.
