Title for Episode 8

id like to say that its just way to soon to even make an educated guess. The writers can be very creative with these things

 

I'm crap at titles. I'm good at plots, characterization, my line writing is coming along, etc. - but I suck at titles. Sorry!

However, if my hopes for Ep VIII are fulfilled, the title could be:

The Ends of the Universe
Return of the Redeye
Thanksgiving Day
and last but not least:
Darth Takes a Holiday

Nyuknyuknyuk.........

Either Shadow of the Empire or Shadow of the Sith. Something dark like ESB.

For me top 10 episode 8 title options are:

2: The Rise of the Forgotten Sith.

4: The Fate of Choice.
5: The Rise of The Force.
6: The Last Stand of the Jedi.
7: The Balance of The Force.
8: The Alliance Strikes Back.
9: The Belief of Hope.
10: The Freedom of the galaxy.

4 - A New Hope, 5 - The Empire Strikes Back, 6 - Return of the Jedi
7 - The Force Awakens, 8 - Assault from the Dark, 9 - Balance of the Light

 

The titles of the two trilogies we've seen thus far (plus the first of the ST) seem to follow a distinct pattern.

Generally the first of each references something not clearly known, and to be discovered. The second usually seems to point towards an action taken by a political faction. And lastly the third seems to reference an achievement or notable event of one of the ideological "religious" forces.

I think @Voxx is going in the right direction. EP 8 might need a bit of a change, but 9 seems perfect.

 

Yeah I couldn't figure out a good synonym of Strike or Attack ha.

 

Star Wars VIII: Force Wars

 

It would be interesting if the whole 'bad feelings' recurrence was turned into more than a joke and at least one title had something to do with perception, somehow. It is generally implied, after all, that the force has something to do with this 'sense of impending doom' (though, to be fair, the fact that doom was generally impending might also have had a lot to do with it...) and it will have 'awakened' by episode eight so perhaps more people are having 'force feelings.'

Another recurring theme- the lost arms- might be more difficult to work into a title, but I did once come over all punny in a French class and dub the series 'Les Mains of War' (I apologise, heartily. C'est la guerre...)

In all seriousness, there's really no way to make an educated guess until we've seen The Force Awakens and know where the storys direction is seemingly headed. But it is pretty fun to guess!

 

I think we'll definitely get something like "Assault" or similar language. @Voxx, you guesses are my favorite so far...especially since they talk about the dark side and the light in the trailer.

Of course it dosen't have to be the exact story to that of the EU novel of the same name. Put simply, the title may suggest a potential link to an (original series) character maybe long gone or of ones even further in the time-line. Writers have been told they can 'borrow' from the EU, why not just a title ?
